About

McHenry Mechanical Inc operates as an HVAC contractor out of Houston, Texas, with their main location on Westpark Drive. They handle air conditioning work for local homes, including new construction installs and service calls in the area where heat and humidity keep systems running hard year round. Robert Osazuwa is listed among the key contacts, and the crew takes on jobs that range from full equipment replacements to quick fixes on existing units. Houston homeowners often deal with failing condensers or duct issues during peak summer months, and this outfit shows up for those exact needs without extra layers of management.

They install and repair residential AC systems, such as putting in condensers and handling attic ductwork on new builds. In one case they were called after another outfit tried to push unnecessary parts on an elderly customer, with Thomas heading out right away for a straight quote and Shane completing the repair the next day to get things running right. Other jobs involved swapping in quality parts that delivered solid airflow through the house, though some calls have run the full appointment window or longer depending on what breaks. They charge a trip fee upfront on diagnostics and focus on the mechanical side of cooling equipment rather than broader home projects.

Customers note solid results on the actual repairs and the quality of parts that leave houses properly cooled once the work finishes. Speed stands out in responses to urgent calls, with techs like Thomas and Shane getting out fast and completing fixes without dragging things out. Price feedback varies when upsells appear, yet the consistent comments center on effective communication during the job and reliable outcomes that match what was promised. What Customers Say

I give ZERO stars! We contracted with this company in August 2023 to install 2 each 3ton 14SEER single stage Carrier brand condensers in our new home construction. They installed 2 Goodmans instead. According to EPA regional guidelines, Goodmans are illegal in Oklahoma. The attic ductwork is very poor (i.e. flex ducts have 90-degree angles). We will not pass final city inspection. Our HVAC system is not working, and it has delayed our construction. The owner and technician he sent have been extremely hostile to our request for correction. Instead, they are demanding more money for work not done and threatening to put a lien on our property.

This company was a life saver! My mom called another company first and wow they were trying to scam her! I called Thomas and he immediately went out to take care of my Mom and give her a real quote! Then he had Shane out there the next day who did an amazing job!! These two guys were awesome and saved us from a disaster! They took the time with both of us and answered all our questions and concerns. Besides great service and trustworthiness, she also got 10 yr warranty on parts and labor along with maintenance and filter change included! Wow! Thank you!! I wish I could write a second review. My AC then went out in the middle of the night last night. I called Thomas this morning and Shane was at my house and had it fixed by lunch!!! You guys are the best!!! Thank you Thank you!!!

This is simply a review. I’m neither urging nor preventing anyone from doing business with this guy. Maybe your experience will differ. After paying them $99 trip fee, and I declined a $400 upsell for a part that costs $9, they left without fixing my issue. Even though they saw that the outside condenser was frozen with ice. They then went incommunicado on me until I got creative and brought them back on the phone. He’ll send his “technician” again, but I have to pay another trip fee of $99. Outrageous? Wait until you speak with the owner, AKA secretary, about this. Seems almost as if he’s sabotaging his own business. After leaving for the second time and the AC wasn’t working, I hired a new company that arrived about 2 hours later. The technician diagnosed my issue within 6 minutes. I had a faulty part. The next day the part was replaced. And it’s breezy happily ever after.

They used the entire appointment time window or even went past it so keep your schedule a bit open if working with them but the parts installed were high quality, the work was done well, and there's plenty of cool air in the house now

I was referred to this company by somebody in my HOAs Fb group after another company pretty much tried to scam at me. I spoke to Thomas over the phone and explained to him that another company told me that the compressor and condenser coil needed to be replaced at $3k labor on my system that is only 3 years old! I explained the whole situation to Thomas and he said that it sounded fishy and the tripped breaker could have been the cause, but to be sure they could get me set up with a biannual routine check to keep on top of my system at a good price. Of course when these guys came out they didn't find anything wrong with my system. Shane was knowledgeable and listened while I explained what the other company told me just to be sure. There was another gentleman with him too, but he stayed outside and I forgot his name, but they worked efficiently and quickly as a team.
