Nicks Plumbing & Sewer Service
HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
Nicks Plumbing & Sewer Service operates from Houston, Texas and focuses on HVAC work for area homeowners. The city’s brutal summers and heavy humidity create constant demand for reliable cooling systems that can handle nonstop operation without breaking down. Technicians from the company show up for jobs involving full unit replacements and fixes on older setups that no longer deliver enough cold air. Houston weather often leads to problems like clogged condensate drains and inefficient equipment that drives up electric bills, so the crew handles those day-to-day issues that come with living in this climate.
They perform installations of new air conditioning systems along with related work such as addressing drain line problems and managing refrigerant levels during service calls. One customer described a thirteen thousand dollar replacement where the old unit was swapped out but the drain issue remained untouched and sheetrock cuts were left unfinished. Another job involved placing a tankless water heater that tied into the cooling setup yet ended up causing floor damage from missing condensation protection. Crews also handle quick repairs on faucets and filters when those connect to the broader HVAC layout, working to get everything running without extra leaks or callbacks.
Customers note solid speed on arrivals and organized cleanup after the work finishes, along with clear explanations of what went wrong and how it got fixed. Quality shows up in professional handling that leaves systems operating properly, while price discussions sometimes need extra time to settle before the job moves ahead. Communication stays direct on most visits even when initial quotes shift. DIRT Score 5.0 from 4297 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Adam was very professional and courteous. Explained the touch aspect of the faucet and ensured there were no leaks left behind and it was running properly. Great personality and I could see how much he loves his job. When you love your job it's not a job. Its a place to go where you can feel good about helping people who don't know how to do themselves and and providing the service you love to do. Thank you Adam for loving your job and going the xtra mile for us. I will be using Nick's in all my future home plumbing and hcvac repairs..andbthankbyou Nick's for hiring people who love their job!”
“Do not believe the positive reviews. Here are 3 reasons why: 1) They installed a water filter in my house on wooden floor, without a tray to catch condensation. I now need to uninstall the filter and reinstall it correctly. See picture attached. 2) They installed a bad tankless water heater in my house about two years ago that only lasted a year. Why? Because the owner of Nick's was friends with the owner of the water heater company (which is now bankrupt because their water heaters sucked). Nick's replaced my water heater with the SAME model and it's still giving us problems. And I still had to pay for the installation again! 3) Yesterday one of their plumbers came to my house to look at several issues. He quoted me $2,800 to move my washer and take a look at the drain and also told me he couldn't tell me what was wrong with my sink unless he heard the problem himself. I asked him about a weird sound in the wall when I used the water. His solution? "Turn off your front door hose sprinkler." Unhelpful and on top of it all had an incredibly unprofessional attitude. I immediately called Nick's, spoke to a manager who booked me for another appointment for the following morning with a "senior technician" and ... no one showed up!!! Didn't even get a call. UPDATE: About 20 minutes after I posted this review two technicians arrived at my home around 11:15am. I told them I wasn't available anymore and they left without even an apology for arriving late. I have been a client for about 5 years. Five years ago I would have said Nick's had the best prices and customer service. I don't know what's happened to them but they've consistently shown worse and worse services over the last couple of years. What a shame.”
“$13k, said they’d give me credit for the Freon or whatever they call it, haven’t seen that yet. My old system cooled better but they said I needed a whole new system though I had new upper unit. Didn’t fix the drain issue I had. Cut more sheet rock of course there don’t fix that for $13k. Crooks in my opinion. 78 degrees currently. Set on 72. So mad right now.”
“We had a small hiccup with the quoted price at first, but once that was resolved, everything went smoothly. The team was professional, worked quickly, stayed organized, and cleaned up the yard nicely. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely use Nick's Plumbing again!”
“Had sewer line issue under slab caused by foundation settling on 44 year old home. Nicks plumbing ran camera down line generated proposal to repair. The quote seemed expensive at first glance but I did not consider amount of work required. The guys (5) showed up at the appointment time the next morning at 9:30 and all 5 worked non stop tunneling 10’ under home. Repaired problem by replacing sections that were broken. Ordered city inspectors to come inspect. Once inspector came and approved Nicks people came and refilled the tunnel area per third party engineer instructions. Everyone was professional and communicated status over the 3 day period that took to complete. The system was operating correctly within 8 hours of their arrival first day then additional days arranging plumbing inspectors.”
