About

Northern Cold, LLC works out of the Houston area with a focus on HVAC services for homes and businesses around Katy. The company was started by Rachid J. Raaz who trained first as a Naval Engineer before moving into the trade and building over 18 years of hands-on experience. That background shapes how the crew approaches both routine fixes and bigger installs in the local climate where summer heat and humidity put constant strain on systems. They cover residential needs like air conditioning repair and heating maintenance along with commercial jobs that include ductwork services and indoor air quality improvements.

Northern Cold handles air conditioning installation and repair for homes along with full heating system work and smart thermostat setups that help control energy use. On the commercial side they provide ongoing maintenance contracts duct repairs and ventilation solutions plus 24/7 emergency response when units fail during peak summer months. Crews show up with the right parts for common Houston problems such as clogged drains from high humidity or compressors that quit after years of nonstop cooling. They also run energy efficiency audits to spot leaks or outdated equipment and then install new systems that cut utility bills without dragging out the job. Homeowners in the area often call for same-day fixes on older units that struggle once temperatures climb past ninety degrees.

Customers rate the outfit for straightforward communication and fair pricing on both quick repairs and larger installs though some note room for faster follow-up on parts orders. Speed comes through on emergency calls while quality shows in clean work that lasts through the humid season. Price feedback stays consistent when jobs stay within the quoted range without surprise add-ons. The crew earns steady marks for explaining options in plain terms rather than pushing extra services. What Customers Say

This facility has over night parking. You can check in from 6-4pm. Even though you have an appointment it is pretty much FCFS. My appointment was for 7am I arrived at 3am parked and it was only 4 trucks overnight parked. When I woke up at 6:30am there were 9 trucks in the dock. I got in the dock at 8:30am and was out by 10am. You will need to pull tandems back and remove your red air line. The supervisor was nice and very patient with me as it took 20 minutes for me to park and he had to cut the seal. Overall a great place to drop-off. Easy to find and easy to get in and out. For my professional drivers you have plenty of space to back in. Have an amazing day!

3/2/26 came Sunday evening 7pm for 8am appt Monday morning! Checked in 6:30am and got door 8:15am loaded by 9am. They do overnight parking and gate was open on Sunday 7pm.

Great, driver-friendly facility! Unloading was fast, and the best part is they allow overnight parking. Nobody kicks you out even after you’re empty, so you can stay and get some rest.

Had a 09:30 appt to deliver, arrived 0700, they don't open doors to checking until 07:30. They're still following covid rules only one driver in at a time to check in. I was giving a door at 0830. Does appear to allow overnight parking. They do close the office from 12-1pm for lunch. Easy to back in plenty of room to maneuver

Decent place. gated lot but it was open so parked there overnight. Don’t MISS your APPOINTMENT, they are booked for days. I was held over 6 hrs at previous delivery and was late 1 hr for my appointment here. They said they can’t take me until next week.
