R&K Mechanical Services Llc
HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
R&K Mechanical Services Llc works from Houston, Texas where extreme summer heat and occasional winter cold snaps keep HVAC systems running hard year round. Homeowners in the area rely on local crews to maintain and repair air conditioning and heating equipment that struggles against humidity and power fluctuations common in the region. This company focuses on residential HVAC work including service visits for multiple units at a single property and addressing breakdowns that affect comfort during peak seasons. Houston properties often face issues like worn components from constant use and the need for quick fixes to avoid extended downtime in living spaces.
They perform service on heating and cooling setups across three or more units at once with total charges reaching amounts like thirty two hundred dollars in some cases. Crews have been called back shortly after initial visits when problems such as lack of heat persist because items like fuses were overlooked during the first trip. Billing mistakes have led to overpayments that require follow up for corrections and refunds while drivers have been reported for aggressive highway behavior including speeding and lane changes that endanger other motorists. Calls for additional help frequently result in repeated transfers without resolution or callbacks from the office.
Customers have pointed out repeated problems with accurate billing communication and timely responses that affect overall reliability on HVAC jobs. Reports mention frustration over unresolved charges and ignored requests for service which highlight gaps in how issues get tracked and fixed after the initial work. These patterns across multiple accounts show why the company receives lower marks in areas like price transparency and follow through. DIRT Score 1.54 from 13 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“This company needs to check their drivers! Driving on the highway speeding and sped up intentionally so I didn’t get in his lane almost hits me with my child in the car and proceeds to flip me off and speed up and sped over two lanes so I couldn’t get the license plate and I called the company and they did nothing. We have enough recklessness on the streets and for company’s to also be reckless do they deserve to be in business?? Had he wicked into me It would be on this company and if they are ok with that then so be it!!”
“🚨 WARNING: UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE! 🚨 I was charged a total of $3,220 in service fees for three units, all of which were paid in full. After noticing our heat wasn't working, I had them come out again three days later. Their explanation? They “forgot to change the fuses.” And yet, they charged an additional $600 in labor for what should’ve been a simple fix. Anyone who knows anything about fuses knows this is nothing but an outright scam. Be extremely cautious if you’re considering this company. They’re unprofessional, deceptive, and untrustworthy. The technicians reek of cigarettes, don’t notify you when they arrive, and I’ve even got video footage of one of their techs aimlessly walking around my building and then sitting in his truck for hours. Do NOT trust them! This is a blatant scam operation. We will be contacting the better business bureau. Seems like the owners don’t respond to anyone on here. It stops now Buyer beware.”
“Billed incorrectly, so we ended up overpaying. I've reached out multiple times to get a refund and they don't respond. Will be getting our legal department involved.”
“Requested service several times and no replies, calling was just me getting transfered 4 times then getting hung up on. 1000's of other plumbers out there who actually reply when you call.”
“They charged us $427 to replace a P-Trap. If you want to be overcharged, go to this company. When we asked them to justify the charge, they told us they'd get back to us, but never did.”
