HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
T.L.S. Refrigeration Llc operates out of San Antonio, TX and focuses on HVAC and refrigeration work for heavy trucks and commercial rigs that run the local highways. The shop steps in for drivers who face breakdowns in the Texas heat and need repairs that keep their vehicles moving without long waits at bigger dealerships. They handle the kind of jobs that come up on long hauls, including cooling systems and related mechanical fixes on rigs like Freightliners. The crew works with the practical needs of truckers who cannot afford extended downtime in a busy transport hub like this city.
They fix exhaust leaks by replacing manifolds on heavy haul trucks, recharge A/C units at no extra cost when other work is done, and sort out DPF problems on Freightliners during a driver's 34-hour reset with warranty claims handled on site. Levi takes on the DPF repairs while Alexia keeps the customer updated on progress and parts. The shop also installs new clutches when needed and gets trucks in right away instead of scheduling weeks out. One customer brought in a rig with multiple issues and left with the exhaust sorted and the cooling system topped off, showing how they combine HVAC tasks with other truck repairs in one stop.
Customers keep coming back because the work gets finished fast and holds up under daily use, with clear talk on costs and timelines even when parts run higher than expected. Reviews highlight quick turnarounds on urgent jobs, solid quality on manifold and clutch installs, and fair handling of warranty details that beat dealership delays. The lower marks came from one case of high part markups, yet the overall pattern shows strong results on speed and communication for most truck HVAC and repair calls. What Customers Say
“I had a great experience with this shop. I brought my heavy haul truck in for an exhaust leak, and the mechanic replaced the manifold and got the issue taken care of. They also recharged my A/C at no cost, which was greatly appreciated. A few weeks later, I had another issue and brought the truck back. The mechanic diagnosed the problem, replaced some sensors, and replaced a turbo gasket at no cost. The service was professional, the communication was good, and they stood behind their work. I appreciate their help and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable truck repair service.”
“I had a very disappointing experience with TLS Truck Repair. I was charged what I believe to be an excessive markup on replacement parts. According to my invoice, I was charged $276.11 each for latch components that appear to be available elsewhere for significantly less (around $120 from other suppliers). The final bill came to over $1,800, including labor and parts, and I was shocked by the pricing. I was not given enough transparency about the cost of the parts before the work was completed, and I feel the charges were unreasonable. If you’re considering using this shop, I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates and researching part prices beforehand. In my experience, the pricing did not reflect fair value, and I left feeling overcharged and dissatisfied. would not return to this shop and cannot recommend it based on my experience.”
“Excellent shop!!! Had a DPF issue with my Freightliner. Levi was able to complete the repair while I was on my 34 hour reset which included a warranty claim. Way faster than going to the dealership. He and Alexia had great communication with me. I appreciated the great service they provided and would recommend them to anyone in the greater Houston area. Godspeed!”
“Very good people job done right most important part he took me in as soon as i arrived / end up getting new clutch”
“Best got damn shop in America. I haul windmill blades and it’s hard to find HONEST shops but my boys here get it done and have very great prices. Wouldn’t go to anyone else. My truck is my livelihood and they know that. Speak to Levi when you go there and tell him Delvin sent you.”
