About

Bfs Contract Division Inc runs HVAC work out of Houston, Texas, under the Broward Factory Service name. They handle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning repairs along with home warranty plans that cover major house systems for owners and real estate agents. The outfit takes service calls for broken units and offers maintenance plans plus equipment upgrades when needed. Houston weather puts heavy demands on cooling equipment through long hot stretches, so their days often involve getting systems back online before indoor temperatures climb too high. Licenses listed cover Texas operations and tie into their focus on keeping air handlers and related gear working for local homes.

Technicians respond to HVAC failures that hit during peak summer heat, with one case showing a unit going down and claims running into coverage disputes that left the owner without quick relief. A dryer call on Christmas Eve led to a part order, then a follow-up demand for extra payment not included in the warranty after four days passed. Dishwasher jobs required three separate visits without a fix, after which the unit was removed and a coil leak caused water to damage floors underneath, forcing new flooring installation. Reports also note a company van cutting across lanes on I35 and leaving the scene. These service runs frequently stretch out with delays on parts and repeated trips that fail to close the original issue.

Customers keep flagging the same shortfalls in how jobs move forward, from drawn-out timelines that drag repairs across weeks to fixes that never hold up and added charges that appear after the first visit. Communication stays thin on updates about parts or next steps, while quality suffers when leaks or other side effects create bigger problems like ruined floors. Speed takes a hit from multiple callbacks that still leave systems or appliances out of service, and price complaints center on items treated as uncovered despite the warranty setup. This track record across the jobs reviewed shows why ratings sit low. DIRT Score 2.61 from 56 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I purchased a one-year Deluxe Home Warranty from BFS, expecting the "peace of mind" advertised. Instead, I experienced worst-in-class, highly unprofessional customer service and what appears to be a systemic scam to avoid covering valid claims. My HVAC system failed during summer heat, and I immediately requested service. After a technician visited, corporate completely abandoned the ticket over the weekend. I submitted an explicit emergency alert warning that my indoor house temperature had exceeded 95°F and was climbing. Despite knowing I have young children—including an infant under 1 year old—living in these dangerous conditions, BFS completely ignored my calls. When they finally provided "options," they demanded thousands of dollars out of pocket. My contract explicitly states that for the HVAC system, "All parts and Freon" are covered. BFS is engaging in clear bait-and-switch tactics. They quoted $12,500 to replace the system, dropping it to a "discounted" $10,000. This completely contradicts their official website, which states their average HVAC replacement cost is $4,000–$6,900. Alternatively, they offered to replace just the coil but demanded over $1,800 in "labor charges" to back-charge me for a covered part. UPDATE: To make matters worse, BFS is now trying to get out of their legal liabilities by mailing me a $550 refund check for my premium, trying to force me to absorb the $10,000+ out-of-pocket cost to replace a unit they contracted to cover. I reject this cheap escape tactic. They are taking public money while refusing to honor contracts, putting families in physical danger. Do not trust this Scam/ Fraud company. They have worst customer service and zero percent care for their customers.

On December 24, the tech came out to look at our clothes dryer. He said a part needed to be ordered then they would return to fix it. Four business days later, on Dec 31st the company called saying they need money for a part not covered by the warranty. The credit card information was given. No responses, so we called today January 7th. The cord that we paid for hadn't even been ordered. They said they needed a picture of the cord, so I sent the picture. We are 14 days without a dryer, hopefully the part got ordered today. They should be ashamed!! If you dont have a problem with time on getting service, then get a Home Warranty with Broward Factory Service

Three visits and tech didn't fix dishwasher. Then they took it in . Six weeks later, no dishwasher. During this time we had a leak from the coil attaching to dishwasher that leaked under floors all this time. Had to install new floors under stairway. No way to replace warped wood floors. Supposed to show up today, no show. Extremely rude office staff. This company is a joke.

Driving on busy I35 the driver of this vehicle decided that he didn’t want to slow down due to the car in his lane slowing down, the driver of the company van decided to jump in front of me causing me to swerve into another lane to avoid my vehicle from being destroyed. Then speeds off. After jumping into another lane I proceeded to drive he then gets behind me which I would call road rage. I’m driving 70 MPH. He then jumps in front of someone else they slow down and I took this picture. The license plate is VLB3912… The driver needs to be tested for alcohol and maybe possible drugs they way they were driving they are going to hurt someone. (Todays date is 9/23/24)

I had called for my A/C Service and got a technician scheduled for last Wednesday. I got nobody to service and called to find out. I was told that the technician had family emergency. and I would have to be rescheduled for Tuesday morning. I am calling today/monday and i am being told that they tried to reach out to me on Thursday and Friday and the call was directly going to voice mail and my mailbox was full and they could not leave a voice mail. I see voicemails from different folks on my cell phone over the past week till yesterday. I double checked th enumber and I see they have correct phone number. I am not trusting this company
