About
Halls Heating & Air Llc works out of Gray County, Texas, and focuses on HVAC services for homes and businesses around Pampa and Amarillo. They handle heating systems such as furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps along with cooling equipment including air conditioners, air handlers, and ductless mini splits. Their scope covers both residential repairs and commercial jobs like chiller maintenance or refrigerant work. Local weather puts real strain on these systems, with long hot summers that wear out compressors and occasional winter freezes that test older furnaces. Homeowners in the area often face urgent calls when units fail during peak conditions, and this crew stays ready to address those breakdowns across the county.
Technicians respond to messages quickly and show up to fix specific problems like low refrigerant or sudden cooling loss. Matthew arrived at four in the afternoon on a Friday to handle one repair after the customer left a message that morning, finishing the job with clear explanations. The owner has driven out after hours to restore a unit in short order for families dealing with breakdowns. On a Sunday when an air conditioner quit cooling, the crew confirmed the likely cause through text and had the system running again by five that evening. They perform routine maintenance on heat pumps, evaporator coils, and furnace setups plus full replacements when needed, keeping both homes and commercial spots like restaurants operational without long waits.
Customers give them top marks for how fast they reply and arrive on site, with perfect scores on response speed in review after review. Technicians come across as straightforward and capable, showing up prepared to diagnose issues like freon loss or complete shutdowns and finish the work at a fair price. Homeowners note reliable communication from the first text through the final fix, whether the job involves weekend emergency cooling or standard heating checks. That pattern of quick, honest service builds steady repeat business in Gray County. DIRT Score 4.42 from 27 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I left a message for the need of repairs today, which is Friday, and I immediately got a text requesting my address. Matthew came over at 4:00 pm on a Friday and took care of my issue. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and honest. Definitely recommend!!”
“Very friendly, trustworthy and fast service! Not only did the owner come out after hours, he fixed our unit in no time. We will definitely be using Hall's HVAC Service, LLC again for any of our HVAC needs. Thank you again for all your help!!”
“Assigned to Hal's because I am an American Home Shield customer. Technician came out and notified me he would have to call American home shield to approve search to identify why freon was low. After technician left I called American home shield to receive approval for request technician said he was going to put in. In parallel my husband called technician that came out and requested he put in request so I can get it approved. He said that he would immediately call front office and have request put in. Before I had my husband call technician I also texted number that set up appointment (unknowingly it was the owner of company). After speaking with technician I received text messages from number saying that I was wasting time trying to get approval because they had to get autho. The messages confused me because just moments before the technician said the request was being sent over. I called the number I was texting to understand discrepancies but no answer. The number called me back. The person I spoke to had an extreme attitude. I raised the issue that I didn't like the fact he had an attitude with me and he continued to provide reasons why he could not call to put in needed request so I can get the work done on my AC. Eventually he stated that he would just call to have my service request transferred. Immediately he called American home shield and had the request transferred. The same amount of time needed to transfer he could have called so he could receive approval. The sad part is that I have two small children that will have to suffer until I am able to get someone out. I have two units but because one unit is trying to cool the entire house none of the house is cool. Today the temperature was in the 100s. I was going to spend minimum of $450 on freon alone or even in the thousands if I had to replace unit (no financing needed) Fortunately Matt's customer service will allow me to go with another contractor that will appreciate taking my hard earned money.”
“Sunday morning we woke up to an A/C system that stopped cooling. I text Hall HVAC and they responded within an hour. I told him the problem we were having, and he had a good ideal what it might be. Although initially I thought he wouldn’t come till Monday. They had our system cooling by 5 pm. We will use no one else, thanks Hall HVAC.”
“My dad always told me...."You get what you pay for" & "Education is expensive", I didn't listen and used a "friend of a friend", well....long story short, called Hall's to fixed all the problems from the first person. They did a wonderful job and had my unit running like it never has before. So make the right choice and call Halls the first time! Learn from my mistake.”
