“Aaron did a great job of checking out my residential AC units. He went over all of the issues with photos and detailed what work could be done. He gave me a variety of quotes and options onsite. Very professional and through job, would go back to him with any future service issues.”

“I requested a quote for a HVAC system replacement. The “digital assisstant” was not helpful when I called because the “scheduler” did not call to confirm the appointment for the salesman. When the salesman arrived, he had his office call to see if I still needed the quote, because another HVAC company truck was in front of the house. I told the office person that I would be outside in a minute. I said they should leave if they did not want to provide a quote. I went outside & waited for the salesman to get out of his truck, but he drove away after a couple of minutes. I guess Topgun will not provide a quote when they know there are other HVAC companies quoting the same job. I try to keep companies seperate when I need multiple quotes, but I cannot fully control scheduling when I am not provided detailed appointments. Apparantly, some companies only want exclusive work or they are just scared of a little competition. Disappointed!”

“Our AC went out on Saturday so I went on your website to book an appointment for today and it was supposed to be between 8-12. I called and got your virtual assistant and it said someone would call when they were on the way. At 12:45 I called and asked to talk to a real person and when I got an actual human she said they had no record of an appointment and the earliest they can have someone come out is Thursday. Your virtual assistant sucks and seems to be losing you business. We decided to go with another company.”

“We received multiple quotes for a brand new HVAC and ductwork from local companies in the Fort Worth area. When David and Mike came out to give a quote, they spent nearly 2 hours breaking everything down and helping us to understand what was needed and evaluate what would be the best option for us. Means a lot for a company to invest so much time when you were making such a huge purchase. The other folks who came out to give us quotes definitely didn’t engage with us like David and Mike did. We ultimately chose to go with Top Gun and I am beyond thrilled that we made that choice. Literally the day after we said “Go” they had their crews at our house and knocked everything out in one day. “I just had a good experience with Top Gun - we had AC failures and we needed two heat pumps ASAP. Scott was great and worked with our limited budget until we settled on two high SEER units that qualify for the fed tax credit. UPDATE - March 2025: We found out over this past winter that Top Gun connected the wires from the two new heat pumps to the thermostats incorrectly and we had no aux back-up heat on our heat pumps. Kudos to John who got us fixed up and working correctly in a timely fashion. We think this is a stand-up company who we now can say has great a great service team. I have to rate them at 5 stars for their response to make things right.”

“Trusting people you don’t know to come into your house and fix a problem can be frustrating. I live in a two story house having AC troubles so friends recommended Top Gun. They came in August and September last year. Did a wonderful job, they were kind, respectful and hard workers. Then came more trouble when the downstairs unit went out. “2 stars because they deleted my wife’s 1 star comment. They tried taking advantage of my AC going during a heat wave by trying to overcharge me to repair my unit. They charged more than $2,000 higher than the other hvac companies for service. Please use other companies!”

“Replacing my system has had me stressed for years and Top Gun Heating & AC repair made it such an easy process. They worked quickly but with precision and got everything set up. They took the time to explain each thing I would need to know about the system, the filters and the thermostats. Every single technician has been so polite and made me feel comfortable. “Came back from Thanksgiving holiday only to discover our furnace was not working properly. I contacted Top Gun the next day and they were able to get a tech out the same afternoon. We have used them for bi-annual maintenance on our HVAC system so we trusted them. Upon inspection of the unit, it was determined the EMC (blower motor) had gone bad. Our options were to replace the part (which was under warranty). But then the tech informed he had no idea how long it could take to get the part from manufacturer (Carrier). It could be days, maybe a couple of weeks. He did not even offer to call to check. It is supposedly a $4600 part, and it was going to be $2300 automatically for labor to install the new part when we could get it. They just automatically make it ½ of the cost of the part which was not even the real price. Mind you it was cold here that week (lows at night were in the 20s) and we had no heat. So then comes the part, “Well it would be quicker if you just got a new furnace. We could have installed probably tomorrow or the next day.” I asked a bunch of questions trying to get more information about the replacement part. I said I need to think about and discuss furth”

“The name Top Gun was well earned. They showed up on time, 5 young men hit the ground running. They each knew their job and went to work. I was having a total removal and reinstall, so basically every thing new plus new blow in insolation. If you have seen the movie Top Gun and remember when like 5 migs are rotating around our F14 to try to get a shot, that’s what it looked like. I found it hard to believe with so much to do it would be installed and running in one day but it was. No complaints what do ever.”

“Called Top Gun yesterday for our summer check up. Received very prompt service. Jacob (a very nice and respectful young man) arrived the very next day at exactly the time they said he would. “David was great at explaining every aspect of our new HVAC units. And giving me the options so that I can make the best informed decisions. He answered all my questions leading up to and on install day. The install crew was crazy good they finished two full systems in a single day. They worked efficiently and even though I didn’t realize they did didn’t take a break all day long. They also detected a gas leak by the gas meter and we called the gas company and they came right out and waited for the gas company to finish so they could test the heater. One of the heaters would not turn on and after discussing with the tech, they got the cooling working. And are sending a tech out to make everything fixed. The only thing that may be slightly negative is there were plastic pieces with metal spikes on them on the driveway and luckily I didn’t drive over them. They did an overall good job of cleaning up, that was the only negative thing but thankfully only minor since nothing happened! Very happy I went with top gun!”

“Wow! Just amazing!!!! I can't recommend this company enough. Don't call anyone else, just call TopGun (cool name, btw). In the dead of a very hot Texas summer our very old AC unit started to blow hot air about a month before we were due to leave for an international trip (AGGHHH!!!). Jon, who is extremely knowledgeable, offered solutions without any "sales pressure"; Jon walked me through the risks/benefits/costs and let me decide. I opted for the cheaper option (being the "cheap skate" I am) and had him seal the leak in the line and recharge the refrigerant. He warned me that this may not work because our unit was so old... he was right 🙁. So when the system failed the cheap approach, I called Jon back to do the full new unit install. Jon worked fast as we were on a time crunch to get out of town, but he was very thorough. He explained everything at the end of the install, which I like because I want to know what I'm getting for my money. You can see he takes pride in his craftsmanship (our unit now makes the other look sad), and he even helped me troubleshoot my new Nest thermostat. By Sunday the temp in our home creeped up to over 80 and I begun desperately searching for other quotes. I have reached out to several - Top Gun being one of them. I knew nothing about them and I did not expect to receive a text from them on a Sunday afternoon offering to come out and inspect the unit. But that is what I got.
