About
Continental Border Corporation operates as an HVAC provider based in El Paso, Texas, with a focus on air conditioning repair and evaporative cooler conversions for homes and businesses throughout the El Paso and Las Cruces areas. The company has handled these services for over 20 years in the harsh desert climate where extreme heat puts constant strain on cooling systems. Their technicians manage complete AC solutions including repairs on all makes and models, annual maintenance plans, energy efficiency upgrades, and conversions from older evaporative setups to refrigerated systems without major ductwork changes. Flat-rate pricing and financing options are part of their standard approach to keep costs predictable for local customers.
The firm performs AC repair by sending out certified technicians to diagnose and fix broken units the same day whenever possible, along with scheduled maintenance to extend equipment life and evaporative cooler conversions that swap swamp coolers for modern refrigerated air. Customers have described service calls that involve long waits such as checking in at 5am with no updates until 3pm or later, requirements for one hundred dollars cash on site for certain fees, and complications with access including muddy conditions after rain that demand boots and careful vehicle placement. They also handle energy upgrades like duct sealing and smart thermostat installs to cut utility bills during peak summer months.
Customers consistently report extended delays with little communication, surprise cash payment demands, and poor site access that drags out jobs, which explains the low overall rating across speed, quality, and price dimensions. These patterns appear in hundreds of accounts and show why the company struggles to deliver reliable comfort in the Borderland. DIRT Score 2.31 from 944 reviews on Finds.
