“Great people and business! They helped with exactly with what I needed even with just general information about my fridge problem.”

“I was in need for a capacitor for my home AC central air system. I found these guys and went to the store to buy one. Bought it, brought it home and had it installed. The part was bad. The repairman checked the capacitor with a meter and showed me the reading which was bad. I took the part back to r&m for an exchange. They refused. I told them the capacitor was bad. He asked if I had checked it with a meter when I bought it, before I left the store. I said, I don't know how to do that, I bought the part I was told to buy. I didn't know I had to buy a meter and check it, being that it's a 'new' part. They said too bad. Refused to give me a refund or replacement. Now imagine if I had bought an evaporator coil for $1,800 and once installed turned out to have a leak induce the unit. I could only imagine them asking me if I checked it before I left the store. I always try to support local small businesses in my city, but unfortunately, this is what can happen. If I'd gone to TRANE or CARRIER in the first place and asked for a replacement, they would've done it immediately and apologized. Went to a different small business on San Dario Ave and they helped me out (not gonna name that store here, so that I'm not accused of anything). They even offered to install the part for free since I was a first-time customer. Night and day difference in service.”
