“I had a home warranty. When my ac went out, the warranty company sent Preferred Home Services. The technician came out and because of the age of the unit, he wrote out a recommendation that would cost us over 1000.00 rather than the 75.00 service fee. He called someone who I assume was not Preferred home service to come out and install a new unit. We declined and called another company who said that the only thing wrong was a faulty capacitor, which cost about 30.00. This was April 8, 2024. He was the prime example of a Snake Oil Salesman. The repair end up costing us 130.00. I did not report him to the company for fear of retaliation.”
