About

Andre Appliance takes care of HVAC needs for homeowners around Galveston, Texas. They operate out of League City with a focus on air conditioning and heating systems that face heavy use from the coastal weather and humidity. The crew handles routine maintenance and repairs on units that break down during peak summer heat or winter cold snaps, drawing from years of local calls on homes and small businesses in the area. Customers reach them by phone for service, and the shop stays open weekdays to line up techs for jobs that keep indoor air moving properly without long delays.

Gary shows up on many service runs to check and fix AC and heat problems, taking time to explain what went wrong and making sure the fix holds. He has been praised for staying positive during long diagnostics and even showing a lighter side with some piano playing on the side. Sunny handles parts orders over the phone for things like washing machine components and other appliance needs tied into the HVAC side. Some jobs involve replacing hoses or pulling parts from sealed bags, though a few calls have led to follow-ups when the initial work missed lint cleanup or had small parts come loose during moves.

Customers keep coming back for the steady hands and clear talk from techs like Gary who listen and get the job done right the first time. Reviews point to solid speed on emergency calls and fair pricing that beats big outfits, along with communication that avoids runarounds even when parts need ordering. The mixed results on some appliance add-ons show up in lower marks, but the core HVAC work earns respect for quality that lasts through the seasons. DIRT Score 3.67 from 34 reviews on Finds.

Service man Gary was excellent. Very personable, articulate, and quite a piano player to boot! Highly recommend!

Was told I was paying $225 to have technician replace dryer hose and clean out dryer. Technician only changed hose and did not remove lent from dryer like I was quoted. Also when he moved dryer, screw fell off of dryer door. Called office and asked them to come back out and make it right and they declined.

I ordered a part for a washing machine. Employee Sunny took my call. I paid in advance over the phone. When I went to pick up my part Sunny said this is the part. The part was sealed and the invoice, credit card receipt Stapled to the plastic parts bag. I brought the part to my handyman. He looked at the part and said it looks different than the one I have. My handyman purchased the proper part. I went back to Andre appliance and spoke with Sunny again. (Her disposition doesn't match up with her name) Sunny said we can't take the part back. I remind her it's the wrong part and it's still in the packaging with the invoice, credit card receipt. WTH, you messed up and refused to take it back! All I got was excuses and no service after the sale (wrong part) Unbelievable, I will never use or recommend Andre appliance to anyone.

Do not use these guys! I've used them before and had an OK experience and everything went smoothly so I decided to use them again. Unfortunately, I can't say the same this go around. I spoke with Bunny originally around the first or second week of December and said that I needed a specific part, and I also had their part number from the last time in 2022, but she mentioned she had found it and knew what I was talking about. I needed a quote for the SERVICE (obviously the part and the installation). It was clear to her what I needed but that the part may be a challenge due to it being on backorder. She even confirmed my address and said if it was the same address they had on file. Why would she confirm the address if they had no intentions of coming out to install it. She said she will keep an eye out for it and get back to me when it's available. Unfortunately, I did not hear from her, so I decided to call instead, and I spoke with her on the 30th of December 2024. She said that she still can't give me an ETA on the part and that she will have to wait until she hears something. I said OK and was already going to start looking for another appliance service provider. All of the sudden I get a call back from Lorena saying that she will take over and can help. I said OK and she asked me for the serial number which I gave to her. She asked about a specific digit or number after it, and we talked about it and said yes on one tag but no on the other tag. Anyhow, she said she can get the part and order it, and it will be there in 1 business day. Now it being the 30th I didn't expect it until probably the 2nd of January for someone to come out. She said she will call me once the part was in. Here is where the miscommunication on their part kicks in. I had originally asked for the SERVICE not just the part. If I had any intentions of trying to be a handyman and installing it myself, I would have simply gone to Amazon. I explained to her that she never mentioned that it would be additional for installation or confirm an installation date. She seemed agitated and said that I am the customer and that I should tell them what I need. Has it ever dawned on her that customer service is there for a reason. She should have confirmed everything before she took my payment. I said to her why would I go to an appliance repair SERVICE for a part? I would simply go to Amazon or e-Bay. Why would I go to an I-Phone repair shop to get a quote on a broken screen if I just needed them to sell me a screen and I install it when I have no idea or the tools to do it? When she took over the call, she just wanted to sell the part and be done with it I guess and never took the time to communicate with Sunny about our conversation. I said look let's just fix this and maybe you guys can give me a discount on the installation, and she was very rude about it as if it would have to come out of her paycheck. After several attempts she finally put her guards down but said she would have to get with Andre to confirm but knows that he is very busy and he wouldn't have anyone until Friday or Saturday in which I said that was unacceptable and that I should be put on some type of priority since I have been waiting and now this miscommunication on y'all's behalf. I should have some kind of customer service help me with this situation. She was very agitated and said that she could not and that I would have to wait. I said OK, never mind I need to cancel the order, and she said she could not, and I said I will dispute it on my end, and she said she will not cancel the order and to go ahead to do it myself. Horrible customer service. Andre if you are reading this right now, you should definitely coach your staff because in the end of the day, this reflects on your business and I'm sure if it starts to crumble, they will simply find another job. I will never use you again.
