HVAC Contractor · League City, TX
About
Earth Power Ac And Heat Inc runs HVAC work out of League City, Texas, with Mark and Tammy handling service and installs. The company covers AC repairs, full system replacements, geothermal setups, and furnace work for both homes and commercial sites across Harris and Galveston counties. They have over 30 years in the trade, provide free estimates, and keep upfront pricing with no added fees on jobs. Same day service is listed for many calls, and hours run 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday plus 10 to 4 on Saturday.
Reviewers have brought up geothermal ground loops that proved too small for the house, which left systems locked out and forced full new loops later. Attic AC installs have leaked and caused ceiling damage that needed four separate repairs in one case, with installers returning multiple times. Furnace fixes on units over 20 years old got done in one visit without extra charges. Some projects started without permits or proper setbacks, which led to inspector visits and delays until the owner stepped in.
Calls for estimates sometimes get routed to email with slow or short replies that leave questions unanswered. Same day arrivals happen on furnace calls, and pricing stays straightforward on simple repairs without attempts to push upgrades. The service area stays within the two counties, and the shop stays closed on Sundays. Communication has drawn complaints on larger installs, while a few jobs moved along with clear updates from the start.
Google shows a 3 rating from 7 reviews, with repeated notes on install quality, leaks in attics, and geothermal sizing problems mixed against praise for quick furnace fixes and direct pricing. DIRT Score 1.1 from 7 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Been trying to work with Mark and Tammy for many years. The install was subpar at best. Many corners were cut that are causing issues where my AC has never been dependable. Ridiculously hard to work with as far as getting service or repairs. I have found out that I have been lied to and told different information than contractors, been told that my system was being monitored for over a month while it was not working. What is there to monitor when my system is locked out? There was obviously no monitoring going on. I have since been told that the ground loop is not adequate for my house and that I have to install an entire new loop. Abysmal communication, It’s unfortunate because I was so optimistic about Geothermal.”
“Please steer clear of this company. Mark and Tammy did a poor job of managing my project. Neither of them actually do the physical work or onsite oversight (until you repeatedly bring up issues to them). They began work on my property without getting the proper permits or following the county setback requirements. When a county inspector came to my property Mark would only argue with the inspector. Mark insulted and argued with the inspector for months. I had to step in when I realized what was going on and that Mark was not going to make any progress. The inspector was actually nice and clearly laid out what the codes were. Once we finally got the approvals Earth Power struggled to begin the actual work. They said the first stage of the work will only take about 4 days and it ended up taking 4 weeks. Then they'd say they'll start on a given day and not show up. Or show up and find out they don't have the right parts and then would not return until the next day. The crews they have doing the inside work are extremely sloppy and do not take pride in their work. Marco typically arrived between 10am-11am and then stopped working between 2pm-3pm. The inside duct work and eq”
“I found a well written article about geothermal and decided the company would be knowledgeable. I contacted several times for an estimate. First I called and was told to email. I emailed and received slow replies, and short, barely understandable email responses. I have never gotten help.”
“The best they are the best and great prices very quick and very nice people”
“Quality equipment, ultra low quality installation. Unqualified installers that had to return over 4 times. AC unit in attic still leaks and have had to perform four separate repairs to my ceiling.”
“Mark was able to come out the same day. Didn't overcharge or try to up-sell. Easy fix for our 20+ year old furnace.”
“Really good communication from the time I called and throughout the process. Fair prices and knowledgeable staff.”
