02 Kool Refrigeration & A/C

Kenneth Helton A/C & Heating operates out of Mineral Wells, Texas, and handles HVAC work for homes and small businesses across the area. The crew deals with air conditioning and heating systems that must stand up to the hot summers and sudden cold fronts common in this part of the state. Homeowners reach out when units stop cooling properly or when heating fails during winter nights. Their technicians handle both residential properties and light commercial spots like salons, showing up with the tools needed to check equipment on site rather than guessing from the truck. The company keeps its focus on practical fixes that match the systems already installed in local buildings.

Technicians such as Oscar Jr handle electrical repairs alongside core HVAC tasks, including work at a salon where the job stayed efficient and on target without extra steps. In one AC service call the crew removed a motor only to discover the actual problem sat with the capacitor, then charged for the correct part instead of the larger job. Another visit replaced a start capacitor on a unit in about twenty minutes and got the system running again right away. These jobs show how the team tests components first and explains what failed before any parts get swapped out. They cover standard maintenance, motor checks, capacitor replacements, and related electrical connections that keep both cooling and heating equipment working through the seasons.

Customers give strong marks for the quality of the repairs completed and the clear communication that happens from the first call through the finish. Reviews note honest calls on what actually needs fixing, which prevents bigger bills when a simple part solves the issue. The crew explains options in plain terms and finishes jobs without stretching the timeline. Even on shorter visits the work holds up, and people mention returning for future needs because the process stays direct. DIRT Score 4.15 from 23 reviews on Finds.

“Realizing that our air conditioning unit was no longer running and the temperature in our house was rising, I began searching online for an hvac service company. All were either closed, did not have technicians available or wouldn't come out to our area...Except 02 Kool! Chris came out, checked our unit and discovered the issue quickly. He was very thorough, experienced and knowledgeable - we were cooling off in no time! We are considering replacing our 14 year old equipment, and 02 Kool will be our first choice!”

“One of our A/C units stopped working late Friday night. We had seen the O2 trucks in a recent July 4th parade and thought to call them. They answered on a Saturday morning and sent someone later that afternoon. He had us fixed in less than 10 minutes. I’d gladly call them again!”

“Our experience with Brad, Joe and Sway this weekend at O2Kool was top notch quality. Brad's knowledge and professionalism was what stood out and replacing our entire old system due to age (R-22) was completed quickly and competently within a couple days after initially calling O2Kool. Brad responded immediately to every question, call, text. He and his team were respectful, timely, they explained everything, and overall, our interactions were exactly as promised. Thank you for being a company with integrity and honesty.”

“Called at 7:00am on a Saturday and they were there at 8:00am. Talk about fast when you don’t have AC on a Texas summer day. They had it fixed in an hour. The invoice was so cheap I felt guilty. Hope I never need them again but they will be the company I call. 100% professional”

“The guys at O2 Kool really are too cool!! Jay and gang helped me out of a big dilemma that nobody else could figure out. And they did it in one day. Highly recommend this company. Thanks y'all”
