About

Absolute Air Conditioning & Heating Llc runs HVAC operations out of Galveston, Texas, where the salt air and heavy humidity put constant strain on cooling and heating equipment. The outfit handles residential and light commercial jobs across the region, covering everything from basic system upkeep to full replacements on older units that homeowners struggle with during peak summer heat. They show up as a straightforward contractor that knows the local conditions and sticks to practical fixes rather than overcomplicating jobs. Their work centers on keeping air flow steady and units reliable through the storms and temperature swings common along the coast.

Technicians like Nathan and Joe handle tune ups that include full checks on coils and electrical connections, often spotting issues such as a burned wire on the outdoor unit before it causes a breakdown. They install surge protectors when needed to guard against power spikes that fry compressors. One homeowner noted how Nathan has returned to the same property for over three years, running efficient inspections that prepare systems for the worst heat. Another call brought them out to restore cooling after initial scheduling delays, with the crew completing the repair once they arrived and tested the full system.

Customers give them top marks for work quality because the techs deliver clean, lasting results without cutting corners on inspections or part replacements. Reviews highlight how Nathan stays consistent and trustworthy on repeat visits, while the team explains fixes like wiring problems in plain terms so owners understand what protects the equipment going forward. That steady approach builds confidence for families dealing with coastal weather that wears out systems fast. DIRT Score 4.7 from 311 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

We used Absolute Refrigeration Air conditioning to perform an Hvac tune up. We were so pleased with Nathan and Joe who did the work. They greeted us with a handshake and were so professional and showed real concern for the job they came out to do. We highly recommend this company! Nathan and Joe thank you for the kind and professional service you provided for us.

Giving three stars because my AC was eventually fixed, but getting there was a nightmare. The communication throughout this entire process was terrible. 6/7: I submitted a service request and received a text saying a technician would come out on 6/8 with a 30-minute courtesy call before arrival. 6/8: No timeframe was ever provided, so I took the day off work to make sure I was available—only to be completely no-call, no-showed. 6/9: I called that morning and was told they’d try to come out that afternoon. If not, they would for sure be there early the morning of 6/10 and would call before arriving. 6/10: I received no communication until 5:15 p.m., when they informed me the technician would arrive at 6:41 p.m. He did eventually show up. 6/16: I received a text that morning informing me they had found the part and that I had an appointment that day. I was told the technician would call 30 minutes before arrival. I explained that I could only do first thing in the morning or late afternoon because I wasn’t taking off any more work after they had already proven unreliable. They said they would try for late afternoon or reschedule. Instead, the technician called during the hours I had specifically said I was unavailable. There was no voicemail, no second call, no text, no attempt to contact the secondary number on file, and no follow-up from the office. I didn’t even know anyone had tried to reach me. 6/17: No communication at all. 6/18: I called and was informed that the technician had called on 6/16. I explained the situation, and they said they would call me back. They never did. 6/19: I texted at 8:00 a.m. letting them know I would be available after noon. They replied that they would notify the technician. I never heard anything else. 6/20: I texted again asking if we could please schedule a time to complete the repair. 6/22: At 8:00 a.m., I once again received a text informing me—not asking—that I was scheduled for repairs that day. I replied that I wasn’t available until after 3:00 p.m. and again asked them to call the alternate phone number on file, even providing the number again. The technician still called only my number. Thankfully, my partner saw the text on the alternate phone, contacted the technician, and was available to let him in. The AC was finally repaired. My biggest issues were: 1. If a customer doesn’t answer, leaving no voicemail, not trying the alternate contact, and never following up until the customer reaches out is ineffective customer service. 2. Telling customers the morning of that they have an appointment, without asking whether they’re available or providing even an approximate arrival window, is inconsiderate. I understand HVAC scheduling can be unpredictable, but most people can’t leave work at a moment’s notice. 3. Scheduling an appointment and then completely no-call, no-showing a customer who took off work is simply disrespectful. The repair itself was completed successfully, but the communication and scheduling throughout the process were some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced.

Nathan from Absolute Refrigeration just finished checking our AC and getting us ready for the heat, and as always, he did an amazing job. He has been coming to our house for over 3 years now. He is consistently efficient, reliable, and someone we truly trust with our home. It’s a relief knowing we’re in good hands every season!

Nathan and Joe did a great job! It didn’t take too long and they informed us of a burned wire to the a/c and recommended one of their surge protectors, to protect the a/c from further issues like that. We got it and feel a/c will be better protected. Angie in Odessa

Absolute replaced our system around 3 years ago, we have had a few random thing happen with it since as to be expected and they without fail are here to fix it every time and have the most respect for our home and our family. I will recommend to anyone I know! Wonderful customer service and overall great company! Thank you guys as always!
