About

Trex Equipment operates out of Amarillo, Texas, where the focus stays on HVAC work for homes and small commercial sites. The company runs stores in both Amarillo and Lubbock under the Texas Restaurant Equipment Exchange name, handling equipment needs during standard weekday hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm CST. Amarillo homeowners face wide temperature swings that push heating and cooling systems hard, especially during long hot summers and sudden winter cold fronts that can strain older units or create uneven airflow issues throughout a house. Calls to the Amarillo store at 806.372.2500 or the Lubbock location route customers toward service help for these common local problems.

Technicians at Trex Equipment handle repairs on heating and cooling equipment along with parts sourcing for units that break down under daily use. One customer reached out looking for fryer components and got transferred to the Amarillo store where Mike in service located the needed items, then drove them to Lubbock on a Saturday during his own time off to complete the job without delay. Other visits involved questions about refurbished items and exchanges such as an open sign return, though some customers noted higher prices compared to competitors and limited manager availability during certain hours that slowed the process for workers sent to the Lubbock location.

Customers consistently note helpful staff like Mike who go out of their way on service calls while others mention staff who appear uninterested or slow to resolve simple exchanges. Speed and communication receive mixed feedback depending on the day and location, with quality of parts and price fairness drawing the most comments across the set. What Customers Say

The gentleman working was very helpful and kind. I will tell family and friends.

Went in to Lubbock store looking for some refurbished and new items. The guy behind the desk answered a few questions but seemed generally uninterested in helping us. Items were priced higher than other stores I've visited. Will stick to the Big Plate from now on.

This location in Lubbock is so unprofessional I sent in one of my workers to exchange or get a refund on an open sign. We previously purchased from them and with no help from a manager unavailable until 1 PM IThis location in Lubbock is so unprofessional I sent in one of my workers to exchange or get a refund on a open sign we previously purchased from them and with no help from a manager unavailable until 1 PM. I asked for the number to the Amarillo location through my employee that I had there and Jessica the girl at the counter laughs at my server because we wanted to get to the bottom of it. so unprofessional we will spend our money elsewhere and let our fellow Restaurant owners know as well

I called trying to find parts for my deepfryer. They transferred me to the Amarillo store where Mike in service helped me. I live 2 and a half hour from Amarillo and Mike went above and beyond to bring me the parts to Lubbock on a Saturday. On his own time and on his day off. With employees like Mike who have that much pride in their job I am going to be a customer for life. Truly amazing experience. Thank you Mike in service.

Went in today to exchange or get a refund on an open sign we bought twice already and Jessica had the nastiest attitude with me. No manager on duty to help either.
