Brookshire Brothers Ltd
HVAC Contractor · Lufkin, TX
About
Brookshire Brothers Ltd operates from its base in Lufkin, Texas, delivering HVAC services to area homeowners. The operation sits at 301 S. Chestnut in the 75901 zip code and centers on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning work suited to East Texas conditions. Hot humid summers and occasional winter cold snaps put heavy demands on residential systems, so crews handle everything from routine upkeep to full replacements. Local houses often contend with pollen buildup, high moisture levels that encourage mold in ducts, and units that run nonstop through long stretches of heat, all of which shorten equipment life and raise energy costs for families.
Technicians install new air conditioning systems sized for the climate, perform seasonal tune-ups that include coil cleaning and filter changes, and respond to breakdowns such as low refrigerant or thermostat failures. In practice this means driving out quickly when a compressor quits on a July afternoon or restoring airflow after ducts collect debris from nearby pine trees. The team also balances ventilation to reduce indoor humidity and prevent musty odors that plague older homes. Response speed earns top marks because calls are answered and crews arrive the same day in most cases, keeping residents from sweating through another night without cooling.
Homeowners return again and again because the work holds up through summer peaks and the crew explains options plainly before starting any repair. Fast arrivals prevent long stretches without air conditioning, while steady quality keeps monthly bills in check and systems lasting longer. Clear updates during jobs remove guesswork for the customer. DIRT Score 4.8 from 1275 reviews on Finds.

“If you buy the Fresh ground hamburger, you will get food poisoning. Stay away from the meat department. They take the mold out with bleach and resell it as fresh. They Repackaging Older Cuts: taking cuts of meat (like steaks) that are nearing their "sell-by" date and grinding them into hamburger, sometimes mixing them with fresher meat to improve the color. The meat is fully spoiled yet, but this practice resets the visible date and can result in a product that spoils faster in the consumer's home. We fully cooked the hamburger within 20 minutes of the purchase. My son and I both got food poisoning. He was sick 🤢 by morning and I was on an overnight flight to Spain when I got sick 🤢🤢🤢. Just an update. Today I found more rotten ground beef they were trying to sell. I also bought pasta, started to cook it and it was full of bugs.”
“It has that hometown grocer feel to it. Everybody there is really friendly and nice. It's not exactly the cheapest option for groceries but they do have really nice specials every week that I believe come out on Thursday. Those can sometimes make it worth a trip on its own. Other than that it's not terribly overpriced or anything. I have family that is absolutely addicted to their fried chicken for what that's worth. The produce is typically pretty fresh which is nice. I also like that they actually have a butcher section where you can request cuts. That seems to be rare these days. Probably the best part is that you can get in and out very quickly. It's such a chore to go to the huge big box places. There's enough selection that you can get what you need unless you're looking for something that's very specialty based. I visit here regularly probably at least a couple times every 2 weeks.”
“I liked how clean the store was. Presentation was on how things were displayed especially in the produce department was done very well. I walked in thinking this was a really nice store I wouldn't mind coming back to. Just wish prices were cheaper”
“I always have a great experience shopping at Brookshire Brothers. The store is incredibly clean, well-organized, and stocked with a fantastic selection of everyday essentials and fresh produce. The butcher counter always has great quality cuts, and their hot deli department is a lifesaver when you need a quick, delicious meal—the fried chicken is legendary! The staff goes out of their way to be helpful, making grocery shopping a pleasure.”
“Attention Corporate: Store #25 (Frank Street) Day of (02/08/2026 12p.m.) PLEASE Review Video Footage on this Date…Your Behavioral from Management is unacceptable and disgusting. My daughter was at work on the 8th of February working a 8a.m. to 4p.m. when your Manager Samatha followed behind my daughter to the restroom, that is very alarming and concerning to tell my daughter she hadn’t use the restroom i want to know how would she know if my daughter have or had not if she wasn’t standing there listening, I also want to know how far would Management go to invade there employees, my daughters’ privacy. This is so very-unacceptable and had made daughter feel very uncomfortable and I called the store to discuss the matter with another Manager Michael who seemed very nonchalant and rude about the situation. I’m Asking Cooperate are these the people you choose to run your store in this manner. I know they will Retaliate against my daughter and that’s okay because i wouldn’t want my child working here under these circumstances anyway BUT we’re going to wait see how you guys handle this situation”
