James Lambert A/C & Heating
HVAC Contractor · Lufkin, TX
About
James Lambert A/C & Heating runs an HVAC operation out of Lufkin, Texas. They handle all the heating and cooling needs for local homes, from furnace repairs to full system replacements. The crew stays busy with calls from homeowners dealing with equipment that quits at the worst times, like cold nights or hot afternoons. As a family-owned spot, they focus on getting things running again without pushing unnecessary replacements. Folks in Lufkin know them for showing up when the weather turns extreme and systems fail.
They send technicians like Braden and Wally out for specific fixes. One customer had a furnace stop on a Saturday night and figured it was a bad igniter, so they confirmed the part was in stock and got it installed after hours. Another time an air conditioner quit on a hot day, Braden arrived that afternoon, checked things over, and handled the issue on the spot. When a homeowner got told they needed a whole new AC unit from another company, the team from Lamberts came the same day, spotted only a couple minor problems, and sorted them out for a lot less money. In one case Braden and Wally swapped out both the furnace and AC in a condo, and the setup has held up fine since.
Customers in Lufkin regularly point to the quick turnaround on emergency calls and the honest assessments that save them from big expenses. Technicians show up when promised, lay out what needs doing, and get the job wrapped without dragging things out. Reviews highlight solid results on furnace igniter swaps, full AC and heat replacements, and minor repairs that keep older units going. The family operation keeps costs down compared to bigger outfits, and the work lasts as seen in systems still running strong a month or more later. All that adds to their standing with area homeowners. DIRT Score 3.82 from 30 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Had the furnace go out Saturday night and waited to call until the morning. I did a little troubleshooting myself, called the emergency/after hours phone and talked about my situation. I believe it was a bad igniter and asked if they had the part. They did and I was able to get it installed and everything fired right up. The customer service was fantastic and I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for the help!”
“My relatively new a/c system quit working on a very warm day. I called, left a message and received a return call almost immediately. I was told that a technician would be out this afternoon. Technician Braden called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he explained what he would be checking and started working on the issue. He was efficient, knowledgeable and very friendly. He had the system running quickly and explained exactly what caused it. This was my first time using Lamberts and I will be a return customer for sure! Great job!”
“So awesome! I had called comfort hero’s prior to them and was told I would need an entire new AC. It’s not terribly old so I wanted a second opinion. THANK GOODNESS I did! I called Lamberts and someone was out here the same day. They saw nothing wrong except a couple minor issues and it all cost under 200. A far cry from the nearly 7000 I was quoted hours earlier. I never leave reviews, but was super impressed and will definitely call them in the future.”
“Braden and Wally came to my condo and replaced my furnace and A/C quickly! It's been over a month and everything has been working great! Great family owned bussniess with WAYYY better prices than most in town!!! Quality work and quality people! I will recommend then to anybody who is looking to get their furnace and or a/c replaced!”
“Called this company to install a mini-split that I had purchased and told them that I needed it installed in my garage. Apparently, already owning the mini split for installation had been been lost in translation, which is totally ok. Miscommunication happens. As soon as he saw the mini split in my garage, he did quick motion of disapproval with his arms (as if I should have known, or this happens to them all the time), turned completely away from me and said "Install it yourself. We don't touch it if we don't provide it." while walking away. The misunderstanding isn't the problem. The policy isn't a problem. The childish attitude is.”
