About

Archie's Electrical Service works out of Houston, Texas and takes on HVAC jobs throughout Harris County and nearby spots like Meyerland, Bellaire, and the West Loop. The company lists itself as Archie's Electrical & AC Mechanical Services, yet the main work stays heavy on electrical side even with the AC name attached. Owner Archie picks up the phone himself and runs the service calls from start to finish. Houston weather brings long outages and heavy loads on cooling equipment, so the crew focuses on backup power and wiring that keeps HVAC systems running when storms hit.

They handle ceiling fan replacements that stop working in rental units, with technicians showing up same day after Anna sets the schedule and keeps the owner updated. Generator installs come up often for whole-home backup during hurricane season. Recessed lighting jobs and tankless water heater hookups appear in their schedule too, along with furnace repairs when units quit after a house settles. Crews run panel inspections and full rewires on older homes, but some calls end with follow-up visits because parts like screws or tubing do not hold up right the first time.

Customers note quick responses on simple fan jobs and clear talk from Anna on timing, yet the same reviews flag repeated fixes on lights that fall out and extra costs to correct water heater lines that were put in wrong. Price complaints surface when warranty work turns into paid return trips, and quality draws the most heat across the board. Speed helps on first visits but does not offset the callbacks. What Customers Say

5 stars. Had a ceiling fan that stopped working for one of my tenants. I was able to order another one and the technician was able to come promptly and install it. Fan was working in no time. Thanks to Anna for great scheduling and communication throughout! Will be using them for all my electrical needs.

Update Within 3 years, they have replaced about 10 of these recessed lights and they still keep falling. I was told they used the wrong screws but because I’m out of warranty now they need to charge me. Liongate my construction company used them. Be warned you might go through the same thing. Check who your construction company uses and ask for a better contractor. This has become a headache to where Liongate just told me to call Archie’s directly. … Got stolen from twice from this companies workers and the owner takes no responsibility. I wouldn’t trust them.

Was hired by our builder to do our tankless water heater and they installed our tankless water heater incorrectly. Had to pay mikes to rip out their clueless work and put in the right tubing to allow for maintenance flushes of the system. Don’t use!!!! 100% rip off. Recommend Mikes Plumbing 1000x over these guys.

It took a year to get my house built and we finally moved in. Like they say, you will find out about the flaws of your house after a year or two. Last week we realized that the furnace was not working and within the day, Union AC came and fixed it. Even came back the same day to fix a defective part. On the same day we find out that the GFC plug in the laundry room keeps tripping the washer and the manufacturer recommendations on the washer does not recommend the GFC relay in the wash room because of how sensitive it is. I called Archie’s electric on that day, that was 7 days ago, and even left distressing message for them to call me back. I called the next day and they said they have received my message and are sending someone. Two days later I am told that someone is working on it, someone will come. Again two days later, same excuse. Today, one week later, my call in the morning ended with the owner was going to call me. No phone call from anyone so I call back in the afternoon and I was told that no one has received the message this morning and that they will get to it. Again they will mark the message “urgent”. I informed the lady that it’s been a week and her response was that they have calls like mine pending to be done for more than a week. Home builders beware, if your contractor is using this electric company know what you will be working with after the house is finished.

Archie’s was the only Electrical Company that responded to my inquiry in a timely manner. They fixed the grounding at my home in Laguna Vista. It was not an easy fix given that the Builder/Developer did not use the right grounding rod (used rebar) and the disintegrating rod was in cased in the cement walk way. He figured out a way to repair and not to break the cement walkway. The repair was completed in a few days … had to order the grounding rod. Also he did not charge me an exorbitant price for the repair.
