About
Atanacio Padilla A/C & Heating runs its operation from Edinburg, Texas, where it focuses on HVAC repairs and installations for both home and vehicle air conditioning and heating systems. The team works on everything from basic diagnostics to full component replacements. Local drivers and homeowners turn to them when systems break down due to damage or wear. Their approach stays practical, cutting through issues without extra steps that waste time or money. Crew members handle the kinds of jobs that pop up often in South Texas heat, from condenser failures to sudden leaks that leave a rig without cool air.
They diagnose problems fast on trucks and cars, such as spotting a leak in five minutes and finishing the repair in under two hours for one driver. Another job involved a vehicle hit by a rock that knocked out the air conditioning entirely, with the crew restoring cold air in just a couple of hours at a fair cost. Technicians like those who handled Marc Vela's condenser replacement diagnosed the fault in thirty minutes, provided a quote the same day, and followed up with a call the next morning once the work was ready. These jobs show how the shop moves on vehicle AC fixes without holding up customers who need their rigs back on the road.
Customers keep coming back because the work gets done right the first time at prices that make sense and with clear updates along the way. Speed stands out in the quick turnarounds on leak repairs and diagnostics, while quality shows in systems that run properly afterward without callbacks. Communication keeps folks informed on quotes and timelines, and the reasonable costs avoid the sticker shock common at other spots. One late opening drew a complaint, but the bulk of feedback highlights reliable results on real breakdowns. DIRT Score 4.99 from 79 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Our vehicle's air conditioning system was unfortunately disabled after being struck by a rock. However, the team at Padilla A/C Services provided exceptional service, fixing the issue promptly and at a reasonable price. The repair was completed in a couple of hours, and my wife can now enjoy cold air conditioning; I greatly recommend this company.”
“Highly recommend. They found the leak issue within 5 min and less than 2 hrs to repair my truck.”
“I’m not sure if they do qualify work. They are supposed to open at 8:30AM on weekdays. I took my car there on a Wednesday, with a neighbor following me to give me a ride home, at 10:30AM. There were closed. What a waste of time. I ended up taking my car and my money elsewhere.”
“Padilla’s AC shop is 100% amazing! I was having issues with my ac. I was recommended by someone. I showed yesterday morning April 17th. Got my car diagnosed within 30 mins. My condenser was out. Mr. Padilla provided my quote. I left my that morning. Mr Padilla called me this morning April 18th my car was ready. All I can say is my AC is blowing colder than ever. Thank you so much for explaining the issue and resolving it quickly. Thank you to this great shop. Continued blessings. 🙏”
“Ok so I had written a good review. I have now deleted a good review and giving my honest review of my story. First time I took my suv the mechanic Julio said he couldn’t find anything wrong he decided to put Freon and change some valves ( after I had already told him a friend mechanic had added Freon and it lasted about 1 day but since my friend is not an expert I took it here) which lasted about 2-3 days. 2) I call Julio again and let him know that it stopped cooling, I go and take it in a second time and now he tells me a hose has a leak(he gives me credit for the Freon) that lasted about a couple days 3) third time I take it in again he tells me it’s the Condenser( gives me credit for the Freon) .. It lasted about 1 week. I call and ask him to fix the problem or give me manual labor refund or some of it as it has been $500 and it still hasn’t been fixed. Now this last time he told me it was the Compressor that I could fix it with someone else or he could put a new one with no Warranty on the parts and $366 more. I have not gone back and taken my vehicle to another mechanic @ Lucky Auto Shop on La Homa and 5mile line.”
