“I've been going to Mission Restaurant Supply over the years, and now they have relocated to the new location on North 10th Street, just a couple of blocks North of Nolana. When I was a chef I would go to M.R.S. to buy the wares for the restaurants I worked at. Also, I purchased my Chef coats, pants, and Chef shoes there. Today I came to the newly stocked store for the knife sharpener that bears their name, and for some reason they just don't carry it anymore. I've checked my last 6 visits (the old store as well) and to no avail. I was hoping they would have it because of all the new inventory they now have. I keep looking because it is one of the best knife sharpening devices I own and I want to give one away and have a backup for myself.So, if you need anything and I mean anything for your restaurant, for your home, this is the place to go. They have a really good selection of each item in each category of restaurant equipment. I did notice they are over priced in their take- out container categories, especially compared to the items you can now get coming out of Mexico. In fact, I find the styrofoam containers coming out of Mexico to be equally as good as any others. As for other wares that M.R.S. carries their prices are competitive and oftentimes lower than their competitors.”
