What Customers Say

Matt was a great sales guy. He was very knowledgeable and informative, but not high pressure. We feel we got the best solution for our needs, at a good price. Niko and Angel did our install and they were very professional, informative, worked really hard and did a nice clean job. Overall the team was excellent; very helpful, knowledgeable and very professional

I was very grateful they installed it the next day. We are older and the heat isn’t good for our health. They came out on Monday, quoted 12,000 for new heater & ac unit. They came Tuesday and had installed and running. The only complaint I have is they moved outside flower pots to get to the ac unit and didn’t move them back. They left all the lights on downstairs & they propped our breezeway door open and the wind caught and broke a bunch of the wood slots out. Overall I’m happy with this company.

Misleading diagnosis — saved $12,000+ by getting a second opinion I've been a returning customer of One Stop Heating & Air, so when I noticed ice buildup on both my indoor and outdoor units, they were my first call. The technician came out, turned off the outdoor unit to let the ice melt, and then told me I had a refrigerant leak and needed a full HVAC replacement — quoted between $12,000–$15,000. Given that they'd refilled my coolant the prior year, I almost believed him. Before committing to that kind of money on a 9-year-old system, I brought in a second company for another opinion. Their technician took the time to fully inspect the unit after the ice melted, and found the real problem: the secondary heat exchanger and blower were heavily coated with dust and debris — a thorough cleaning was all it needed. He completed the work in about an hour. No leak. Coolant levels were completely full. The root cause was a dirty AC filter that hadn't been regularly changed by the tenant. I'm genuinely shocked that One Stop's technician looked at the same unit and jumped straight to "replace the whole system." My tenant went without working AC for a week, and I nearly spent $12,000+ for a problem that cost a fraction of that to fix. I can't recommend this company in good conscience. If a technician from any company tells you that you need a full HVAC replacement, please get a second opinion from an independent, trusted technician before agreeing to anything.

My AC stopped working, so I called this company. The technician came out and charged me $60 for the assessment. After barely checking the unit, he told me the compressor was bad and that repairs would cost around $5,500. He also pushed hard for a full unit replacement for about $10,000 and immediately started encouraging me to apply for financing. I told him I needed to discuss it with my wife first and was not making a decision on the spot. The very next day, we got a second opinion from another company. Within the same visit, the second technician properly diagnosed the issue: it was only a capacitor problem, completely unrelated to the compressor. The repair cost us about $300, and the AC has been fixed and running perfectly ever since, with a guarantee included. What’s even more concerning is that the first technician never even checked whether the unit was under warranty, which the second company immediately did in case a larger repair had actually been needed. It honestly feels like this company focuses more on selling expensive new units than properly diagnosing and repairing existing systems in a fair and affordable way. I would like a refund for the inaccurate diagnosis and wasted assessment fee. If someone from the company would like to contact me, I would be happy to provide more details. I would not recommend using this company. Avoid at all costs.

Leaving a star for the quality of service we received from the technician but everything else has just been headaches and lies. Our heater went out in November and One Stop was able to get a technician out quickly. He was professional and honest and we decided to replace our whole HVAC system specifically because of the promise that we would receive $5k in rebates when we did our taxes. At tax time, our accountant had no idea what we were talking about with these rebates. I called One Stop for help and it turned out they had an entire department to help with the rebates—this was not mentioned when we signed up for the package that included rebates. I sent over the requested documents to this department and was ignored. I followed up over email and was ignored. I called One Stop again and was told that my documents were missing info (which hadn’t been requested the first time). When I sent the corrected info, I was again ignored. The technicians here are nice but it has now been over six months and I am out $5000 that I was told I would receive and have received nothing but dishonesty and half assed help and blame. Additionally, our system still has not technically been approved by our city. The inspector came and said they used a wrong connector. When One Stop came to fix it, they said the inspector was wrong and didn’t fix anything. Again, it has been 6 months and we are still dealing with city inspections. The technicians here are nice but the company itself is dishonest and unhelpful. I do not recommend working with them.
