After a brief diagnosis, he stated that he would be unable to get parts for our 16-year old unit, and that we would need to fully replace the unit at a cost of $7,400 (their quote). It seemed as if he had little interest in fixing the existing unit, and just wanted to sell me a new one. A few days later, I had another company look at the unit. The technician drove to his supplier and came back with a new heat kit in 20 minutes. He fully fixed our heat kit in less than two hours and charged me $400.”
