Clayton Hvacr
HVAC Contractor · Milam County, TX
About
Clayton HVAC/R operates out of Milam County, Texas, and handles heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ice machine work for both homes and businesses across the area. Justin Clayton started in the trade back in 2000 at a small outfit in Rockdale before moving to a larger Austin company where he learned commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment for restaurants. He earned his contractor license and opened the company in 2019 to run jobs his own way, covering everything from basic residential fixes to bigger commercial setups without any extra layers in between.
They install, repair, maintain, and replace central AC systems, furnaces, heat pumps, mini splits, ductwork, and commercial refrigeration gear on all major brands. A call came in well after hours for a beer cooler that had quit at The Loose Screw Craft Beer House and Garden, and Justin arrived first thing the next morning with Chad to get it back online fast. Laura Suter received straight explanations on her options after other outfits tried to scare her into big changes, while Jason Ballinger got clear recommendations on his current system and what might come later. Chad Joseph Wilson stepped in to finish a DIY Mr. Cool split system install that most companies turned down outright.
Customers keep noting the strong work quality that lasts, fast responses even on off-hour calls, prices that stay reasonable with no padding, and steady communication from start to finish. Reviews point to the crew staying thorough and professional whether the job is an emergency repair or a planned service call, and they value the honest approach that avoids unnecessary upsells common elsewhere. What Customers Say
“The Loose Screw Craft Beer House and Garden was in a pickle. Our beer cooler wasn’t cooling. In the beer business that is the kiss of death. Justin at Clayton HVAC was recommended to us and I gave him a call well after normal business hours. He was out first thing in the morning and had us up and running in no time! Could not recommend this guy more. He and Chad were incredible thorough and professional! Don’t mess around and just call these guys first!”
“Mr. Justin Clayton is very professional in his work and a very honest man. We called so many companies before him, but Mr. Clayton really took the time to explain everything. He is very personable and reasonable with his prices. Couple companies came to our house and one of them scared the living daylights out of us. What the person in this company said to us ended up being just a scare tactic to charge us more money. Mr. Clayton recommended very simple handlings for the cleaning of our vents. We immediately did ourselves what he recommended, and we now have very clean vents. He also helped us installing a smart thermostat and he included that in the price of the installation of a new air handler. He did not have to do that. His exchange with the client is in abundance and you know he is not in your home to take advantage of you. You can tell he really cares for his clients.”
“Very responsive and detail oriented. Justin gave recommendations for my current system and my options in the future. Prices are reasonable. I’d highly recommend him to anyone that needs an honest, reliable and professional experience!”
“Clayton is a true professional and craftsman. I purchased a DYI Mr. Cool split system but later decided I needed the help of expert for the install. Most HVAC companies will only install their own equipment. After days of searching for help I finally came across Clayton's information. He was super courteous, affordable and easy to work with. The best part is how clean and tidy he made the lines and hoses on the exterior of our building look. Thanks for the great job!”
“Bought a new ACand Heating unit from a local business and the return air was very loud. I went by office to get someone to come out but was told they were so busy but they would put me on schedule 2 weeks later called the office they told me they had to talk to owner. 1 week later I went by office they told me they would put me on schedule. The owner came out and said the return air was to loud and that even though they were real busy they would take care of it. 2 months later never heard a word from them. I called Justin and he came out, suggested what needed to be done. He put me on schedule and he and his crew fixed the problem and did a great job. Very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this company.”
