About

Happy Gringo LLC works as an HVAC contractor based in Odessa Texas. West Texas weather brings brutal summer heat that pushes air conditioning systems to their limits day after day. Homeowners face constant dust from the dry plains that clogs filters and coils faster than in milder climates. Common problems include failed compressors from nonstop operation and duct leaks that waste energy in the wind. The company handles these conditions with routine maintenance and emergency repairs to keep indoor air comfortable when outside temperatures climb past one hundred degrees for weeks at a time.

They perform full system installations in new builds around the Permian Basin area along with replacement jobs when older units break down from age and heavy use. Service calls cover no-cooling complaints by checking refrigerant lines and replacing worn capacitors on the spot. Technicians also complete seasonal tune-ups that clean evaporator coils and test thermostats before peak summer demand hits. Homeowners report the crew shows up with the right parts stocked on the truck so minor electrical issues or airflow problems get resolved in one visit rather than multiple trips back to the shop.

Customers consistently praise the fast arrival times when units stop working in the heat the solid quality of the fixes that hold up through the season the reasonable costs that stay within quoted amounts and the clear updates provided from the first call through completion. This combination of reliability and straightforward handling in tough local conditions explains the strong results. DIRT Score 5.0 from 127 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

We booked a tour of Guayaquil, Galapagos cruise, Anakonda Amazon Tour from Coca, and a tour of Quito (the food on the Anakonda was insanely good). Everything went like clockwork! Both cruises were delightful, the guides on all tours were wonderful, and all hotel and airport transfers were flawless. I highly recommend this travel agency.

Our month-long visit to Ecuador was incredible! We visited the Galápagos Islands, hiked around in the Andes, and ended with a stay in the Rain Forest. And we have Jonathan Tapia from Happy Gringo to thank for it. He listened to the things we like to do on a vacation (culture, arts, good food, wine, hiking, nature) and planned an incredible trip. We had the opportunity to make some tweaks/ changes and he took it from there. During our trip, everything went spectacularly well! All our flights, car transfers, and guides met us like clockwork. The cruise, hotels, hostels, and ecolodges were beautiful with wonderful staff. We had friendly and informative guides: — Harry and Erick on the Infinity cruise in the Galapagos, — Giovanni in Quito, Mindo, and hiking up to the glacier on Cotopaxi, — Sebastian in Cuenca, the Caja National Forest hike, and to Ingepirca, — Miguel for a hike up Mt. Chimborazo, — Luis and Oskar at Napo Wilderness Lodge in the Rain Forest. There was one day where a road was unexpectedly closed as we made our way from Guayaquil to Cuenca, which was going to potentially change our plan for the next two days. Happy Gringo was on it, messaging our guide with closure updates as we were driving, including 3 possible plan change options. We ended up being able to stick to our original plan with a slight delay, but seeing how Happy Gringo was supporting us really made us feel that we had absolutely nothing to worry about on our trip. For bonus points: it was my husband's birthday at the beginning of the trip, and Jonathan had a birthday cake waiting in our hotel on our first night in Ecuador, as well as a surprise birthday cake (and singing) on his actual birthday on the Infinity cruise ship that was shared with the entire boat. We can't say enough great things about our experience with Happy Gringo and our trip to Ecuador. If you're on the fence about working with them, don’t be. Do it and you’ll be thrilled!

Kudos to Jacky for organizing our 17 day trip to Quito, the Amazon Rainforest, and Galapagos. Everything worked like clockwork, from airport transfers to hotels, to incountry flights to guided tours. My wife and I did two tours around the greater Quito area with Giovanny Tapia who was an excellent and personable guide with vast knowledge about the area. He took us through Old Town, the Equater museum, and Otavalo, both were full day tours We also did a day tour with Alejandro Valenzuela to Cotapaxi. He was very accommodating in working with our schedule and our lack of an altitude acclimation period before going up to the higher elevations. Both guides were outstanding and I highly recommend the both of them. Even our drivers to and from the airport were great. We also did the 4 day trip to the Napo River Eco Lodge and an 8 day boat cruise on the Galaxy Orion to the Galapagos. Both of those trips were excellent as well.

Happy Gringo accommodated and executed my plan for the perfect vacation to Ecuador and Galapagos. My trip included an 8 day cruise on the Anahi catamaran, 3 nights in the Sani Lodge in the Amazon rainforest, and an 8 day birding tour with Alejandro, the best guide ever. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the birds of Ecuador and where to find as many different species as possible. I would highly recommend Happy Gringo for planning a vacation in Ecuador!

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Ecuador and Galapagos. Nico worked with us and our budget to create a unique itinerary that we would enjoy. He set up knowledgeable and mindful guides. Milton welcomed us warmly to Quito. Ivan expertly led us along the trails at Papallacta to see the river, birds, tiny orchids. Ramiro at the Santa Cruz Highlands was funny and he showed us the lava tunnel, tortoises, and Malay apple gathering. Pico excellently showed us the creatures of the land, water, and sky of Galapagos. We were blessed to have dolphins stay with our boats for minutes. Jonathan and Daniel escorted us safely back to the airport. Alejandro at Quito efficiently introduced us to the colonial and modern parts of the city plus delicious chocolates to accommodate our needs. Nico could not have come up with much better hotels and the Sea Finch yacht. The place and the staff were very warm and professional. Hats off to Happy Gringo!!! We are so pleased!! Thank you very much. May you continue to make people happy.
