“My family had a very disappointing experience with A Pro Air Heating & A/C Inc. in Pearland. About six months ago we paid over $18,000 for a new HVAC system that was installed in our home. At the time of the sale we were told the unit came with a 10-year warranty. Unfortunately, the system only worked properly for about three months before it stopped functioning. We later discovered the system that was installed was not compatible with the original thermostat in our home. Because of that issue, I replaced the thermostat in an attempt to restore normal operation. When we contacted the company for warranty service, the owner told us the warranty would no longer be honored because I changed the thermostat. That explanation did not make sense to us, especially since the thermostat replacement was related to compatibility issues with the system they installed. Another concern is that although we were told the warranty was 10 years, the paperwork we received only shows 5 years. I have also asked multiple times for an itemized contract or breakdown of the work performed and equipment installed, but we have never received one. At this point the system still is not working properly and we have been told additional money may be required before they will address the issue. Meanwhile we have elderly family members staying with us and the temperature in our home has exceeded 80 degrees. We have had to rely on stand-up fans just to try to keep the house somewhat comfortable. For such a large investment, we expected better service and accountability.”

“Very unprofessional. They made a mistake and installed the wrong circuit board for my AC. A little research and found out the model # circuit board they installed is incorrect for my AC unit. After reaching out to them they said I voided my warranty because I did my own research by calling the manufacturer of my AC. And by giving them the model number of the AC and circuit board. Sounds super shady. They definitely have no idea what they are doing. And take advantage of people. Watch out for these people. Very sad people. Because it was the owner of the company.”

“Welp now I don’t have access to my attic since the new unit is taking up the entire entry & my light doesn’t work anymore along with the exposed wires everywhere that I had to clean up. There was a mess left up there. Didn’t want to write this but we had them come out to check another unit & they tricked my mom into a whole new system instead of just charging us for the diagnostic fee. Instead of being honest and just letting it go they billed $1600 for a cancellation fee & sent it to collections!!! That’s just scummy. If a customer doesn’t want a service that was never provided then I would’ve just let it go. $1600 to cancel for something that was never done is absolutely insane.
