What Customers Say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ On May 6, 2026, I had an outstanding experience at the Collin County Clerk's Office. Stacey Kemp and the entire staff were professional, patient, and incredibly helpful. They took the time to answer my questions, clarify the assumed name certificate process, and assist me with completing the filing, even after normal business hours. Their knowledge, dedication, and willingness to serve made the process smooth and gave me confidence that everything was preformed correctly. I am truly grateful for their dedication professionalism, kindness, and commitment to public service. Stacey Kemp and the entire staff deserve recognition for their honorable work and outstanding service. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful process such a positive experience.

If you go for a birth certificate, before you even pull a number fill out your application. DO NOT let them let you pull a ticket before the application I pull my ticket, go upstairs, I’m called on immediately, not a big crowd. Thinking this will be fast I go to clerks desk, asked if I have fill out an application after no one’s told me to do so prior. Have to fill out application (which takes 3 minutes) then I’m told to wait again to be called. I had to wait 45 minutes for a 5 minute process before someone noticed and thank you to Lara for helping me. If it weren’t for Lara I’d have to wait probably longer than I should have. So Collin county , let’s not waste peoples time and yours. Fix your process and communication. Communicate that you need to do an application before the ticket number, fix the process of letting someone be taken care of within 5-10 minutes after you tell them to go fill an application out. I mean hell , let them fill it out at your desks. BE BETTER. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to notice this is an obvious issue. Again thank you Lara for your help.

Highly inefficient. The "automation" is a facade—kiosks don't work and the ticketing system is a mess (they skipped my number twice). I waited 30+ minutes just for a simple paper drop-off. For such a large building, the lack of basic operational flow is disappointing. Prepare for a long wait and zero efficiency for county clerk office.

Very helpful staff. I visited for a birth certificate and the process was quick, efficient, and well organized.

I would actually give this office zero stars. I dont know who she is because she refuses to provide her name, but the woman that answers the phone here is so hateful, nasty, and rude for no reason. Every time I have called to get information on the processing of my fingerprints, she gets extremely snippy and tells me that there is nothing that she can do to help me that I need tk speak with someone else, and then refuses to give me that persons info until I push for it which she just gets more snippy and then hangs up the call on me. Ill let you know lady, after the first time you got nasty with me I have started recording our calls and I will be playing them for your new supervisor when I speak with her. Have the day you deserve.
