Ideal Impact Inc
HVAC Contractor · Plano, TX
About
Ideal Impact Inc operates out of Plano Texas where they focus on HVAC work that cuts energy use for schools ministries commercial sites and municipalities across Texas Oklahoma and Arkansas. Their approach targets groups that serve others by installing systems to lower utility bills and free up funds for core needs like staffing or programs. With an average reduction around thirty four percent they work on projects that deliver measurable drops in costs per square foot while supporting clients who must watch every dollar in their maintenance and operations budgets.
They install efficient HVAC equipment then train on site staff to manage daily operations and track savings so the organization keeps more resources in house. At one private college facilities staff later handled rewiring on units put in by the team and addressed additional wiring problems that surfaced months afterward. Reviews mention how the process equips building managers with cost effective tools for long term control and helps schools or churches redirect money saved toward hiring or student support rather than ongoing utility payments though contract terms on payback periods require close attention from the start.
Customers consistently praise the price reductions that come from lower energy bills and the quality of the solutions that let budgets stretch further without major upfront outlays. Feedback notes solid communication on how the setups work in real facilities along with the speed of seeing returns that support extra positions at places like school districts. A few point out follow up fixes needed on installs but overall the results hold up across many jobs. DIRT Score 4.21 from 30 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I must agree with Shawn and Dennis here. I am the facilities director at a private college and we had Ideal Impact on campus about a year and half ago. Since the time of installation, we have been rewiring things that they installed incorrectly and found another wiring issue yesterday. There was a building where we had around half of the heating valve actuators stoking backwards due to never being commissioned. We were told by one of the employees while they were here that some of the crew were working at Walmart the week prior and were now "controls techs". They didn't set up an entire building correctly and when asked about it one of the leads replied "I didn't realize that there re-heat coils in that building". One of our buildings that they were working in had quite a lot of pneumatic controls running and in the original contract they were supposed to be doing away with all of the pneumatics. Their work on campus was going to be done in two phases. Phase 1 contract was signed and work was being done. We decided to hold off on phase 2 until we could see how things went with phase 1. When we decided to do that they somehow removed part of the pneumatic upgrade from that building claiming that it was included on the phase 2 proposal so now we have DDC VAV controllers with electronic to pneumatic converters for the reheat valves. I called yesterday to see about getting help with being able to access some of the controls in one of our buildings and was more or less given a talk to the hand response. I have been in the business for quite some time now and have not seen the likes of these folks. Poor performance followed by poor customer service. Its sad really.”
“Ideal Impact is focused on installing, training, & equipping your organization to be successful energy managers of your building(s) operations with the most cost-effective solution(s) possible, so that together you can return more resources to your operating budget. Ideal Impact’s Leadership team is made up of HVAC/Building Automation/Construction professionals with 40+ years of experience in the industry, working for Fortune 500 companies such as Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, & Trane Technologies. This company was founded by these professionals to change the defects of the Performance Contract/Energy Services industry by focusing on the customers mission & operations first, rather than the value or size of the contract for a project. With many firms focused on a 15-20 year project that packs all the bells & whistles into a contract, Ideal Impact’s focus is on the 4-8 year project to get energy savings back to your operating budget by focusing on the two key aspects of energy efficiency that will provide the most benefit to your organizations budget over the long haul, while empowering your teams to control savings over the next 12-16 years. From an employee stand point who’s worked for other premiere customer service companies like: In-N-Out Burger, Chick-fil-a, Costco, Publix, & Trader Joe’s; Ideal Impact’s training & development for it’s team members is just behind if not right on par with these companies culture & customer service focus. Their commitment to their associates & their partnerships with their customers is unparalleled in this industry. I have been privileged to be on the customer side, contractor side, & consultant side. The bottom line is there is no other energy services/performance contracting/controls company that is more focused on improving your organizations bottom line in a timely fashion than Ideal Impact Inc.”
“Awesome company. Their mission is one of a kind and has helped many communities, schools, churches, and companies save money via more effecient energy solutions so that they can spend it where it is needed. If you need energy solutions and are looking to save a lot of money in both the short and long-term, you have found the right business for the job.”
“Saleswoman made proposal that appeared that we would not have to put any money out of pocket they would do all the work to our facility and they would make their money back from the energy savings. Over like an eight year period. But that was not the way the contract read. You can save on your energy bills if you work your system the way you do at your house. In my opinion they are not very Christian never saw the sales person after original meeting!”
“Worked here for a year and a half. Really enjoyed the staff and work environment. Very family oriented and developmental. The heart behind the work was great to help reduce energy waste for schools and churches. Highly recommend seeing what these folks can do to help.”
