“Matco performed a routine AC tune-up on 4/30/2026. During the visit, they told us our previous AC company had installed the drip pan incorrectly when our new unit was installed and that it needed to be replaced. Over the following weeks, we repeatedly contacted Matco for updates on the replacement part and to schedule the repair. They were difficult to reach and could never provide a clear status update. Finally, they scheduled a visit for 5/28/2026 — nearly a month later. This past weekend, we noticed water leaking from the secondary drain outside. We called again to ask about the part and whether someone could come sooner. The person who answered told my husband, “Dude, I don’t know, I don’t have the schedule in front of me. I’ll call you in 30 minutes.” We didn't receive a call back until 2 days later. They said they could send someone out Tuesday morning. We were hopeful they would finally install the new drip pan and resolve the leak. Instead, after showing up 30 minutes late, the technician came down from the attic holding a bag of chips and told us, “I have some bad news. The manufacturer sent the wrong part. It’ll be 2 days before we can get it. I’m too far into the repair to turn the unit back on. We can provide a few fans until then.” So after: nearly a month of waiting, multiple appointments, a $300 inspection fee on a fairly new unit, dozens of follow-up calls, and an AC system that was working before they touched it, we are now without air conditioning going into June. At this point, I have no confidence in this company’s communication, professionalism, or ability to complete repairs properly. I would not trust them to work on anything else in my home.”
