“After a horrible experience with a roofer 2 years ago on my detached garage, I made sure to do my research when it came time to replace the roof on my house. Firstly, I checked with my State Farm Insurance agent and she recommended Square Construction based on the feedback she heard from mutual customers. I called Todd Mayes, the actual owner of the company. He is based in Dallas but works in several Texas locations. He put me in touch with Mark DeMay, his representative in Austin. Mark came to my house a few days later to inspect the job and gave me a bid, which turned out to be the lowest of 3 other bids I received from other roofing contractors. I appreciated not just the price but how thorough he checked out the job and even suggested less expensive alternatives rather than an upsell. A few weeks later after getting our schedules to coincide, a team of 8 workers from Square Construction was on my roof by 7:00 a.m. including the supervisor, Patrick, who was actually on the roof with the crew. They worked non stop until 8:00 p.m. I watched carefully this time after the shoddy job on my garage where they put shingles on rotten wood. Square roofers did a great job using Level 3 shingles that even qualified for lower insurance premiums because of better hail protection. I was also impressed by the little details they did such as replacing my leaf guards when they they finished the roof, squirted hornet nests for me, relocated my old school tv antenna, and cleaned up so thoroughly that I found only 2 nails when I double checked the next day. Todd, the owner in Dallas, even stopped by to check on the job and took drone photos. Cool. I totally recommend this Company. Price, quality work, completion in one day, complimentary details. They put up their ladders, etc. They finished the job in half a day, much shorter than I expected. They even cleaned out my leaf filled gutters. Then they were cle aging everywhere , even my patio.
