About

White Mechanical Llc operates as a family-owned HVAC outfit right in Plano, TX. They handle heating, air conditioning, water heaters, and generators for both homes and businesses across the area. With 24-hour emergency service available every day, the crew takes on all makes and models instead of pushing just one brand. Homeowners in Plano deal with hot summers and occasional cold snaps that knock out systems fast, so having techs who show up ready to diagnose and act keeps things running without long waits. The outfit focuses on straightforward fixes first before any big replacements.

They install new Lennox furnaces complete with easy-access filter boxes so homeowners can swap filters in seconds instead of fighting with tight spaces. Techs like Simon have rolled out on weekends to check low-pressure issues on units that quit working, while sales tech Joshua JP spots hidden problems other outfits missed during inspections. Install crews such as Victor and Fong handle full setups on new systems, making sure everything runs right and leaving the house clean. Calls for rooftop units, ductless splits, zoning, and indoor air quality work come up often too, along with water heater repairs and generator hookups when power goes out.

Customers keep coming back because the work holds up through Texas weather swings, with clear explanations on what needs fixing and no drawn-out delays on parts or scheduling. Reviews highlight solid quality on installs and repairs plus fair pricing once the real issue gets addressed instead of jumping straight to big sales. Communication stays direct from the first call through the final check, and speed matters when a system fails on a holiday or during peak heat. DIRT Score 5.0 from 495 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Update - Sales Manager reviewed our complaint and arranged to install a filter box to allow changing filters in 10 seconds. Google Reviews work to hold companies to the highest standards. Thank you White Mechanical. On March 9th, 2026 White Mechanical installed a new Lennox furnace for us.  We were offered an electrostatic air filter option with the Costco purchase, but we declined that expensive option. The installation proceeded as expected and the installer did a very clean and professional job. However, we asked the installer to demonstrate how to replace the air filter, we were dismayed at the complexity of the replacement.  We must remove the outside cover, then using a special tool, remove the interior cover to access the filter. Then, making sure we do not disturb any of the loose wires nearby, we then remove the filter hold-down bracket with the special tool and swap filters. Then carefully replace all the parts & panels in reverse order until restored. I was dismayed at the complexity of the furnace filter exchange, as the other Lennox furnace we have has a simple door, allowing the filter to be changed in 10 seconds, instead of 10-15 minutes, requiring a special tool. See attached photo.  I must admit it, it was my expectation to receive a simple way to replace the filter with the new furnace, being the best brand on the market with a rather expensive install. White Mechanical offered to install a simple filter box below the furnace, so we can swap filters quickly like downstairs, but the quote was $1,100 more, almost as much as the electronic filter we rejected due to the cost.

Called White Mechanical out on Saturday 7/4, technician by the name of Simon came out to check the system in our home which was not turning on. after a few minutes of placing digital gauges on the lines he informed me the issue was low pressure and immediately began upselling an entire system replacement. I told him it would take the landlord a little while to OK an entire system replacement but we would need a temporary fix in the mean time. He told me repeatedly that a $1000 option would buy me a couple weeks minimum so they we could get the new system quoted out and not be miserable. The route Simon sold us lasted less than 12 hours. Had he told me that was even a possibility I never would have spent the money. When I called White mechanical to ask them to send someone out to help us Simon called me back and was less than professional in his attempts to assuage himself of guilt in selling me on something without painting an accurate picture of the potential downside. As of this post, the only contact I received regarding the issue was from Brent Hiles who spent the majority of the call trying to talk me into paying them to replace my system. While White Mechanical may be a decent company they have unfortunately allowed at least one of their field technicians to act in a less than reputable manner and have not done anything to right the wrong. At the very least we should have been refunded for the cost of the materials we were sold under less than honest pretenses.

Joshua ( JP ) was a thorough sales technician in selling us new HVAC. He discovered issues that no prior company had discovered. Install complete and we are set. All issues remedied and system working well! Install crew of Victor and Fong did a good job and were courteous and respectful of our home and cleaning up at end of day.

UPDATE: Brent called me to assure me that this company does not practice business with un-truthful approaches. I appreciate that, however the situation that happened was IMO not handled correctly. I did feel the 'selling' of the new system was a priority rather than taking the simple steps to fix the original problem first... then go from there Good luck if you choose this company for your HVAC needs. Very concerned about the "TRUTHFUL" business practices of individuals representing this company when they come 'on-site' to review an issue with the AC unit. The diagnoses was somewhat true, however they also mentioned the compressor was bad because he measured the windings.... HUH???? I fixed the fuse you determined to be bad. The AC unit (original unit, 40yrs old) Now works perfectly. Why didn't you suggest I do this prior to you saying it would be $15K-$17K for a new heat pump system? Beyond that... you represent COSTCO... this is NOT COSTCO quality or service. I also provided you a service tip $40.. out of my good heart, you did not do the same. I never even got the quote you promised me. Come on now??? How many other customers have you determined to have bad systems that are NOT bad and should be diagnosed by a true professional? I somewhat trusted this technician because he certainly made it clear he has been in the business for over 20 yrs???? Really? Then why did you suggest the $30 fuse replacement first. Before telling me the compressor was bad.... when it wasn't bad. That is some very SERIOUS DISHONESTY???? I will be reaching out to COSTCO as well, you need to make this RIGHT. I could have easily took your 'bait' for a $17K new unit... OUCH, that's OK with you?

Jp was awesome! He came out to our house to check on our Ac. Told us exactly what we needed and fixed the problem. He even came back out just to do a quick check and make sure our Ac was running smoothly. Highly recommend this company!! Ask for JP!
