About
Huffman Heating & Air Conditioning runs as a family owned shop in San Angelo, Texas, led by second generation HVAC technicians who bring more than thirty nine years of hands on work to the table. They stick to residential and commercial jobs across the city, handling everything from basic upkeep to full system swaps on all the big name brands. Local homeowners and business owners call them when units break down in the heat or when it's time to upgrade old equipment, and they offer free estimates whenever someone buys a new unit. The crew knows the dry Texas weather and the common failures that hit these systems year after year without adding extra layers of talk.
Technicians show up ready to install complete new air conditioning setups that run without issues afterward, and they have suggested lower cost options on multiple houses when full replacements were not necessary. One crew reached an Airbnb property within an hour of the first call and had the problem solved fast enough to keep guests comfortable. The same group earns praise for staying customer focused during repairs and maintenance visits, showing up prepared and finishing the work without dragging things out. They cover both heating and cooling needs plus indoor air quality checks, always aiming to keep utility costs down through proper diagnostics and straightforward fixes that last.
Customers give them solid marks for the quality of the finished work and for how quickly they arrive when systems stop working right. Reviews point to reliable outcomes on installs and repairs plus clear communication that avoids surprises on the job. That steady performance across dozens of calls builds the kind of reputation that keeps the phone ringing in San Angelo. DIRT Score 4.85 from 80 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“This company has employees that are very customer oriented. They are very quick to respond to our needs. We highly recommend Huffman Heating and A/C for all your heating and cooling needs.”
“These people go above and beyond what’s expected to help you! I’ve had a whole new AC system put in one of my houses and it has been nothing but perfect. I’ve had some other houses they’ve worked on and they’ve actually given me alternatives that were cheaper that I appreciated! But the most important aspect I believe is their character and being good Christian people. I’ll put my name on them any day.”
“We were definitely in a bind. They got to us within a hour from our call, got us fixed up really quick. Will definitely use for further problems at our AirBNB’s.”
“Service was fine and the tech was nice. That's where is ends. I received a bill and it just had a total and nothing else. I called and talked to a lady and ask if she could just email me an itemized bill then I would get it taken care of. She promptly said, we don't do itemized bills because the system would not allow that. I ask, well how did you get the amount for the bill? I have never had a company not provide an itemized bill when ask for. I have to report line items for taxes and this is not the way you do business. I bet they would not pay a bill addressed to them that is not itemized nor should they. I will send the payment because the work was done but I will never use them again and I will tell as many people I can about their unwillingness to provide something so simple as an itemized bill. The lady I talked to sounds like she is a family member and almost seemed happy that she was not going to provide the information, so I doubt that this procedure will change but I will post my experience so the next person doesn't have to go through the same poor customer service from the office. Update: Google "Flat rate billing". I own several companies and we do "Flat rate billing" this is not that. If you had to break down to me "some" of what was on a bill, it is not flat rate billing. I wonder how you report to the IRS. I bet you have a breakdown for them and itemized. Go fool someone else with your response. I will not respond again to your nonsense response so good luck.”
“Quoted costs were inconsistent with the billing statement. I was quoted a cost (not estimated) for an A/C service of $110 when appointment was booked and later confirmed with the A/C technician who arrived at the location, but an additional fee/charge appeared on my billing invoice. Upon contacting the office about the discrepancy, they advised that the additional fee was to blow out the drain; this should have been part of the service and included in the initial quoted cost. My concern is not regarding the service performed by the A/C technician, but the additional fee of work that should have been part of the service and included in the quoted costs. Either disclose the additional fee at booking and/or advise the homeowner of additional costs on site for awareness and approval. This was my first experience with this company and it’ll be my last call for service.”
