About
David J Wissmann operates an HVAC business based in San Antonio, Texas. His work centers on residential heating and cooling systems for homeowners facing the area's tough summer heat and occasional winter freezes. The company keeps air conditioning units running despite the long periods of high temperatures and humidity that wear down equipment fast. No details were given on how long the operation has been around or its origins, but it serves local needs in this climate where systems get pushed hard year after year. Homeowners count on steady service to handle the strain from nonstop use during peak seasons.
Homeowners in San Antonio call for help when their units quit blowing cold air in peak summer months. Jobs often involve swapping out worn compressors, scrubbing dirty coils packed with dust from the area, sealing up refrigerant leaks, and tuning thermostats that give out from nonstop operation. The crew also cleans ducts and swaps filters to boost airflow in older houses where pollen and buildup happen quick. Service visits usually start with checking why there's no cool air or strange sounds coming from the outdoor condensers that run around the clock in Texas weather. These fixes keep homes comfortable without overhauling entire systems every time.
The thirteen reviews give average ratings on speed and quality for most repair jobs. Some customers mention getting straight answers about what was wrong with their systems while others mention waiting longer than expected for return visits. Prices get described as fair in a number of cases though they vary at times. Comments on how well things get explained or scheduled show mixed results overall. This puts the record at a middle level for the trade in the city. DIRT Score 3.3 from 13 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I was under the care of Dr. Straus for gallbladder removal in June 2025. After initially presenting to the emergency department with significant abdominal pain, I was diagnosed with gallstones and referred for outpatient surgery. During a telehealth consultation, Dr. Straus thoroughly explained my treatment options, and I initially opted to delay the procedure. However, as the pain worsened, I contacted his office to request an earlier date. His team made every effort to accommodate me and was able to schedule the surgery for the very next day. The procedure went smoothly, and Dr. Straus’ calm and compassionate bedside manner helped ease my preoperative anxiety. I experienced no complications postoperatively and am extremely grateful to Dr. Straus and his team for their exceptional care and professionalism throughout the entire process.”
“Dr. Strauss came into the hospital after clinic on spring break weekend for a lapchole. He has professional yet comforting bedside manor and is willing to answer any questions. I am a breastfeeding mom, so he gave me time to pump just prior to surgery. I highly recommend Dr.Strauss. For follow up his clinic is super clean and his staff are so nice. Forever thankful for this doctor!”

“I haven't known Dr Straus that long. But long enough to know he's a very good surgeon. He repaired an old hernia surgery that was making my life very difficult due to the pain it was causing. He used the non evasive procedure, and i only had pain for 21/2 days after the surgery. I still have 5 pain pills left over.I highly recommend Dr.Straus. he also has awesome staff, working at his office, off s.e.military dr.They where attentive and even found a cell phone charger for me after my phone died.”
