About
Dnr Refrigeration Co, Llc works out of San Antonio, Texas, where they focus on HVAC systems and refrigeration for homes and businesses across Central and South Texas. Their crew handles calls in the city and nearby areas including Austin and beyond, dealing with air conditioning, heating units, and commercial equipment that keeps kitchens running. Backed by years in the trade, they position themselves as a full service option for both routine maintenance and urgent breakdowns on residential setups or restaurant gear without adding extra layers to the process.
Technicians like Doug and Josh have shown up for jobs at spots such as Big Al's Healthy Foods, where they worked on units and left the owners Marge and Frannie satisfied enough to keep calling back over time. Other calls have included checking three phase ovens at high schools, sorting commercial kitchen equipment, and addressing ventilation or duct needs. They respond to same day requests and tackle repairs on ice machines or full kitchen setups, though some jobs have run into mix ups over parts like breaker types or coordination between the office and field crews.
Feedback on their HVAC and refrigeration work in San Antonio splits between solid reliability on commercial kitchen repairs and repeated notes on slow responses or poor handoffs. Positive comments highlight prompt arrivals and steady handling from most technicians, while complaints center on communication gaps and occasional misreads on equipment issues that drive up costs or delays. These patterns shape the rating from real customer experiences in the area. DIRT Score 2.18 from 11 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Had them check out a 3 phase oven at our high school and their technician tried to say the problem was with a "4 pole" breaker. He said it shouldn't be on a 4 pole breaker and that was the reason the unit was not working... That "4 pole" breaker they were referring to was actually a 3 pole shunt trip breaker... Our electrician had to explain to the DNR handyman what a shunt trip breaker was, then he tried to argue and say there is no such thing as a shunt trip breaker😂! Needless to say, we asked the gentleman to please leave and had to call another company. The problem turn out to be a board inside the oven itself....”
“This company is terrible I would never use them. They dropped the ball and then blamed another company for their lack of communication. There is always only one person there they say and never know what’s going on. Doug is very rude and says he’s trying to help you but when he is held accountable he takes zero accountability and isn’t professional at all.”
“Doug and Josh treated Marge and Frannie so well! They have both been singing their praises for over a week!!! That's a record!!! Thank you DNR for helping us time and time and time again. ❤ Big Al's Healthy Foods”
“DNR is the go to for great customer service and reliability when it comes to commercial kitchen equipment service. I have talked to and met most of their technicians and office staff. All of them are professional, friendly, and prompt.”
“Honestly, do not call anyone else. DNR is the only repair service to actually fix my problems every time. Save yourself money, time and stress and choose DNR.”
