“Today we had a fender bender. We were assisted by officer Montelago ( not 100% I got the last name right.) badge 1354. What was a frustrating situation to deal with at the beginning, When Officer Montelago came along, he made it easier on the heart and mind. Thank you for your kindness and patience with the situation. Give that guy a paid day off. LOL”

“Less than a year ago, my grandmother (who was over 90 with dementia) went missing. She was staying at a home health house with her friends since my mom lived in Houston and I am not in a place where I am able to take care of her. My mom came to visit from Houston and went to the house where my grandma was staying at, but there were new owners living at that house and they kept saying my grandma had been "transferred" and didn't know where to. Apparently, the previous owners didn't get along with my mother (a jealousy thing) which I was not aware of, so my mom believed they were trying to hide my grandma purposely. Granted, I feel like my mom should NOT have had my grandma living with people who she knew didn't get along with her. Anyway, we called SAPD, reported my grandma missing. And after doing some digging, this female cop (forgot her name) said she found my grandma who was now staying in a nursing home, but doesn't want contact with family. I kept asking if she heard that directly from my grandma or someone else. But the cop said they called a nursing home, spoke to the director, and the director said my grandma didn't want contact from family...which sounded very weird. The cop didn't even physically see my grandma or spoke to my grandma directly, but took the words from a 3rd party person over the phone. Again, my grandma was over 90 and had dementia , and this cop wouldn't even tell us where my grandma was being kept. All this cop said was "Your grandma is an adult, and will reach out if she wants to contact you." Again, over 90 yes old with dementia.. It was obvious that the previous owners (who didn't get along with my mom) relayed that message to purposely keep my mom and grandmother separated. And SAPD also played a huge part in that by not telling us where my grandmother was.”

“The staff is polite and helpful, the construction is horrible in this area, it took me almost an hour to find parking. If you need help with parking, just put in Google Maps: “Casa Navarro Historic Site” when you get there, turn into “Dolorosa Lot” for UTSA, you will have to pay for parking, which is around $3 an hour, you just text and pay with your credit card. Then walk around the fencing across the street to enter into the building. Good luck 👍🏼”
