Mario Pena A/C & Heating

Mario Pena A/C & Heating runs HVAC work out of San Antonio, Texas as an air conditioning contractor. Mr. Pena handles the business, which centers on repairs and upkeep for cooling systems in homes. The company stays open every day with hours listed around the clock. One reviewer noted the outfit came recommended from another small veteran owned business in the area.

Customers reach out when an air conditioning unit stops running or shows problems on older setups. One case involved a quote for an internal blower part after the system quit, followed by concerns that the whole thing needed replacement. Other jobs covered maintenance that kept older units going through summer heat without full swaps. Technicians handled weekend calls for AC trouble and checked back the next day to confirm the fix held. Additional work included sorting out units that needed attention the same day they were called.

The company keeps service going at all hours across the listed days. Reviewers mention prices that come across as reasonable for both labor and parts. Jobs wrap up fast in many cases, with one fixed the same day. Follow up happens after the work to make sure things stay running right. The approach gets described as direct, and the business supports smaller operations in the local area.

The record includes a Google rating of 4.4 from 8 reviews. Common points cover honest dealings and solid results on repairs and maintenance. One review flagged problems with how a quote got presented and next steps. DIRT Score 2.8 from 8 reviews on Finds.

“This guy is a joke and thief. Had him come out and check the A/C because it had stopped working. My wife was the only one there and he quoted her the internal blower and when she told him she had to check with me. He stated he was three weeks out. He was only going to do it now because it was a referral. Stated that was fine if we needed to we could find someone else. The guy walks out then five minutes later comes back inside and tries to start taking things apart stating the whole system is no good and has to come out. My wife stopped him and said what are you doing? You haven't even given me a quote for anything. The guy puts his hand up and says I don't do business with anyone who speaks more than five words. (Lucky for him I wasn't here) So my wife told him get out. Good thing for us we have Cameras that record video and audio. Be careful that he doesn't try and take advantage of others. Also I came in today replaced the capacitor and the unit works just fine. This guy is a Thief!!!!”

“I have been a customer of Mr. Pena's for 8 years. He was recommended to me by another small, veteran owned business. I have an older house with and older unit that the bug companies wanted to replace but it wasn't necessary. Mr. Pena's has maintained and fixed past problems. My old unit has been running without issues through San Antonio summer heat. The pricing is reasonable and fair, given the work. I would highly recommend Pena's AC to anyone. Support small veteran businesses.”

“The guys that run this company are defiantly honest people they go above and beyond. There are so many dishonest people that take advantage of people this company is not one.”
