“This place is unbelievable I have been waiting since 2017 for housing. And I have been kicked out of the system twice because when I changed my address there system doesn't update. Now they have closed my file again because of that. I sent them a help email there not doing that anymore. I called them and one phone drops your call. The other one let's you wait on the line for 2 minutes and sends you to voicemail and they don't call back. Its terrible how they keep you waiting so long for everything that they do there. I have been disabled since 2012 and can't get anything done. And now they have told that there out of vouchers more delays its no wonder people have to live on the street.”

“23 million annually is what HUD gives the City of San Antonio for all " SAN ANTONIA'S who are facing financial hardship, homelessness ect..... Yes I also applied for assistance after the sudden loss of my husband in April 2022 whom was also United States Air Force veteran, who contracted the covid-19 virus while driving his cab during the pandemic, it was a decision that caused him his life in the end, all our finances ,home, belongings everything were stripped away within a year " Due to paying funeral, everything from taxes to utilities I maxed out my credit that I still can't repair, I tried asking help from the city of San Antonio from the VA Opportunity Home and to no avail they told me and then, my 14 year old son when went to the main office on Flores St after the first year passed on the waiting list ,when it was my turn to go up to the window where everyone in the waiting room can hear everything your saying ,which should be a private matter, I felt so ashamed to even be speaking threw a widow as of if my son and I had were receptionist who I am sure reads her answers of a memo in front of her, know she's not going to hepl you at all, and tells me in a smirky way oh yeah you're going to wait 7 to 9 years, and I literally laughed out loud and I said "are you kidding me' and again with another smirk she said " NOPE" I felt so humiliated my son also felt heartbroken, why would they have this office set up that way I'm not I couldn't believe it, so I understand all of the heartbreaking stories from other San Antonia's who have been suffering , the system they are working with does not work, I've witnessed people who have been on housing for 30 years, w generation after generations that are set, why either the know how to play the system, or they know someone in the system, listen we don't need this huge state of the art community apartment, where we still have to pay for gas and electric, there is plenty of land out of the city where you can place Casita's and live a green life, where we plant our own veggies put some fruit and nut trees everywhere with solar energy, instead you keep renovating The Alazan, The Sutton, The Casiano, The Lincoln ect ... And then give the apartment a new fancier name, That cost more millons and could only accommodate a handful of family, what happens when the freeze is on for 5 years, where do the funds go back to the 23 mil, instead they Keep patching up, fixing what is broken instead of replacing what needs to be replaced, please people , I am done with San Antonio's City Managers , it is what it is , and is not fair, this review will also go on deaf ears, so good luck to all of my fellow neighbors and i truly wish you all the best!”

“It was helpful until one is in an unhealthy, unsafe, volatile situation. Now I truly see what bias, and reverse discrimmination against men feels like. Letting them know even with a Dr's statement wasn't good enough, they want you to re-live your situation, more spacific's from the Dr, even though its say's one feels unsafe, jump hoops by calling the police (which they frown on), and have a police report, before she will even as she claims, "Take it to the board", One has PTSD, and a service dog with a Dr's authorization. Now what would one do in this situation? If I were a woman, would I be afforded the same treatment and understandings as a woman being abused and misstreated, not feeling safe, and scared, then asking for help. One is being forced to stay in this situation or become homeless again and one's back is against the wall, living with PTSD and this gives me flashbacks, nightmares, and crazy thoughts of desperation. Now I can understand (never agree) how/why people go off, and there is a breaking point to this madness. Parkview is not the place; Shel just isn't right.”

“Why do you keep putting money into the Cassiano homes. They need to be knocked down. The roofs have holes in them and I know several people living there that the restrooms floors have fallen into the laundry ceiling. They are super old. I know the piping has to be terrible and the water smell smells. You’re redoing the doors because the doors have lead in them, but I think the whole apartment is full of lead because they’re so old and just keep getting repainted over and over the old paint. Doesn’t make sense 🤷🏻‍♀️”

“This place is a Joke!! City ought to be ashamed!!!been waiting for what was promised to me since 2017 hurricane harvey survivor and still nothing gets done. My health is worst. I want my house as promised SAHA THIS PLACE IS A JOKE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT JUSTICE OR PEOPLE!!! NOW, ALL OF A SUDDEN, THEY SEEMED TO HAVE LOST OUR PAPERWORK, AND THEY'RE BLAMING IT ON COVID 19 SMH”
