What Customers Say

About a year ago, I had a new heater installed along with new ductwork. Everything seemed fine until recently, when water got into the heater and damaged a controller part. That issue wasn’t the company’s fault. However, while the technician was here testing the heater, the power suddenly went out. We initially thought it was a breaker issue, but it wasn’t. Even after checking and replacing breakers, the power still wouldn’t come back on. Then, while we were standing at the heater, the power suddenly returned. Neither of us could figure out what was happening. After the technician finished and left, I had to call an electrician to investigate the wall outlets. The electrician found a loose wire inside a wire nut and replaced it. He told me the wire looked like it had been pulled or stepped on, which caused it to come loose. I haven’t been in the attic in over a year, the only people up there were Action Air’s technicians when they removed the old ductwork and installed the new ductwork. I reported this to Action Air and sent them photos of the wiring issue along with the invoice for the repair. Their response was: “Good morning Rick, Our management team has reviewed the photo and your invoice and have confirmed we will not be reimbursing you.” The electrician’s repair cost was $200. Instead of doing the right thing and working with me on a reasonable solution, this is how they chose to treat a customer. Their technicians were the only ones in the attic, and it’s clear they inadvertently stepped on or pulled the wiring loose, an issue that could have caused a fire in my home. I guess a bad review is worth $200 to them. This is why I will never recommend or use Action Air again. Update, So I reached out to Action Air since I was notified in my review that they wanted to talk to me and reach an agreement. This was their response, pretty pathetic of them to use automated response's!!! They don't care even after I spoke to them by email here is their response I screenshotted. SMH!!

We upgraded our forced air gas heater to a heat pump system. We choose Action Air as they were competitively priced and offered expert advice and background information along this process. Neil was very approachable and guided us expertly through the process. Steve and Mario who performed the demo of the old system and upgrade to the new system were efficient, clean, friendly and on time. The whole project tool a little over a week (including the inspection and permitting process). Overall very happy with the service we received from Action Air. Highly recommend this team.

Action Air is a RIP OFF! I highly recommend any home owners to research what refrigerant and UV dye cost BEFORE you pay for a quote from Action Air. Our AC Unit was installed in 2021 (5 years ago). It stopped producing cool air so they came out an out new refrigerant in it, that fixed it for awhile. Then the cool air stopped again. They came back out once th warranty was over. The tech quoted $511 per pound of refrigerant and $350 for the UV dye. PLUS labor!! I went to the internet and found the exact same products that he showed me. See attached. UV dye is $128 for 28 oz. And refrigerant is $289 for a 25 lb cylinder. I understand these guys are trying to make money, I know how it goes. I run a small business as well. But this is purely unethical. We won’t be using action air again.

Alejandra Mora came to check my furnace system which was installed by Action about 5 years ago. Did an exceptional job checking the unit. Suggested I have the blower wheel cleaned and did that quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend him.

Just had my A/C inspected by Oscar M. He was very professional, polite, courteous, meticulous and honest. He explained the condition of my unit, he never once pressure me on getting the issue done. He is also a very good educator of A/C, yes it's his job, but he took the time explaining what the parts function and he also covered some safety issues on my unit. God bless you Oscar! Thanks for yourjob well done, it was beyond my expectations!
