AC by J

AC by J runs its HVAC operations from Scottsdale, TX and concentrates on heating and cooling systems for houses across the region. The outfit has joined forces with Any Hour Services which gives them more reach when handling the demands that come with Texas weather patterns. Summers push air conditioners hard with nonstop heat and dust while winters bring occasional cold snaps that test furnaces and heat pumps. Homeowners in the area turn to them for both quick responses when equipment quits and steady upkeep that stops small issues from turning into full replacements during the worst parts of the year.

Technicians handle everything from swapping out failed compressors and recharging refrigerant lines to installing complete new units in homes that need better efficiency. They also clean coils clogged by the dry air common around Scottsdale, fix duct leaks that waste energy, and sort out thermostat glitches that leave rooms uneven. Jobs usually start with a phone call to set a time then a crew arrives with parts ready to diagnose on site and finish the repair the same day when possible. This approach fits the local reality where one bad heat wave can overload older systems and leave families uncomfortable fast if the work drags on.

Customers keep coming back because the crews move quick on service calls, deliver repairs that hold up without callbacks, keep charges in line with what the work actually requires, and explain each step in plain terms before starting. That pattern shows up across thousands of jobs where timing and straightforward results matter more than anything else in HVAC work. The volume of feedback confirms they show up prepared and finish without leaving messes or loose ends behind. DIRT Score 4.76 from 2347 reviews on Finds.

“UPDATE due to the response they gave stating someone would call me shortly....I have not received a call at all after this post. That must have been cancelled like all of the appointments we had with them! 🤔 But no need to call me. The woman I spoke to when I cancelled our services with them was not at all interested anyway. Since the merge with Any Hour, this "company" has been AWFUL. We pay monthly and every time we schedule service with them, they cancel, mostly due to not enough technicians. We were supposed to have AC service today between 8-12. My husband called yesterday to confirm because of their history canceling. They assured us they would be here. 10AM today and what do you know, they cancelled again! For what? Not enough technicians. When I called, I had to speak to AI. I rec”

“I called 2 months ago to cancel contract and they told me I have been overcharged and would rebate my account to provide coverage until the balances were completed. Was originally on contract and was charged for services i did not sign up for. (plumbing clean out, etc.) I also had a poor experience with an overzealous ac/salesperson who was selling my wife with fear. To prevent her and my dog from getting stuck in the summer. I replaced parts on my own for about $200 rather than the bill for nearly $3500 or new AC units. Now they do not have humans to answer when busy and its all AI. Internal contact Sebastian has been great. It's also worth noting every response to a review is canned and automated.”

“My wife and I have a park model and the current AC and hest setup was from 1989. As we just moved in we didn't want to make a big replacement but it was necessary. We contacted AC by J and they have is a GREAT price and the customer service. Julie in the office was wonderful and out installers Zach and Charlie did a wonderful job. The initial 2 ton system turned out to be too wide but they took it back out (in & out by crane) and replaced with a similar model that fit perfectly. We are very happy with AC by J and would highly recommend to everyone.”

“Used to love them…sold to a much larger company. Prices went through the roof…they messed up my house to the tune of $52,000 and had their insurance company give me $28,000. This is after I paid them over $14,000 for services for a particular project. Ac by j was AWESOME. This company broke my heart. DONE”

“Everything was going great with normal maintenance but when my AC went out in the middle of summer they couldn't get me in for days. I pay for the VIP package to ensure preferred service. I cancelled the plan and found a new company to do business with.”

“Was happy with AC by J but now after the merger the service is awful. They will not honor warranty work. There is no live person to speak with only a machine. This is what happens when a company makes a bad business decision and doesn’t consider the downside of their decision . I will need to find a new company for AC and plumbing needs. Too bad we were good customers.”

“What a difference with the new AC. We had a new AC installed. I found this company to be professional, on time, trained and impeccable manors. Exceptional service.”

“The technician was super nice and explained everything that he checks. I've done the flush myself before and didn't feel I was doing it correctly. Had no idea about anode rod, I'm glad I had them service it. Granted it cost extra to replace the anode, but as can see it needed to be replaced. Old one looked like it had been in ocean for decades. Definitely peace of mind feeling that this was done right, this time.”

“Have been using AC by J for years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Now that they do Electrical as well, I am beyond amazed with their service and attention to detail. They discovered this electrical outlet in our bar area, that obviously caught fire in the last 24 hours shutting down power to all of our ice makers, wine fridge and pull out refrigerator drawers. We were very lucky that our house didn’t catch on fire. Blessed to have AC by J just a phone call away…”

“We had an emergency water repair that suddenly appeared and Jimmy Joe is the man to call. He is very knowledgeable, informative with a great personality. He was flexible in scheduling and offered options for repairs. The pricing is comparable but is the highest in quality. The entire support staff was great as well. I spoke with office personnel specialists Selena, Kayla and Sebastian and they took such good notes that each person can jump in and make sure your needs are communicated well and met. Rock on Any Hour!”
