He continued doing a full inspection and found some other items that needed attention. “I made the below post before anyone came out to look at the unit but I was so frustrated and angry at what explanation I was getting from the receptionist I cancelled my club membership. Casey came out and determined it was a bad electric supply unit, which he replaced and even put in a plastic peek hole so I could see if the light was working. In all this was made right by Air Experts. In short before giving a business a scathing review like I did, allow them to make it right, which they did. Thank you Casey and Air Experts. I've been a member of their service club membership for about 2 years now and have always accepted and believed what I was being told was accurate, until recently. I'm not judging or saying in any way they are an untrustworthy company. I honestly believe this is a Christian based business. My problem is pricing. A year ago it was suggested I get an ultraviolet light installed to prevent mold and such in the air handler unit which I agreed to, to the tune of nearly $1200. Earlier this week the tech came out to inspect the unit as is part of the service club membership. Tech found the ultraviolet bulb was burned out and estimated replacement of $598, FOR A BULB!!! I balked on the cost and began research finding an identical bulb for $40. Contacted the receptionist telling what I had found and was told the life span of the bulb is about a year. SO putting it all together I paid $1200 to install an infrared light and then expected to pay $598 ever year PLUS the service club membership. Course I was told that the bulb is purchased directly from the vendor and they have to pay the tech and make a profit. I found the bulb for $40 so I find it hard to believe its not cheaper for them. Profit yesterday but dang thats some profit. To make it worse I put in the new bulb and it wouldn't work, same bulb. I looked at the wiring and it was such a tangled mess I'm not sure how it worked. In all I asked them to come check wiring and fix any mistakes they made on installation. Im not sure how long bulbs been out. I also cancelled the membership and inquired with other companies the cost to install similar bulb. Highest price I got was $210, far cry from $598. I won't use this service after the wiring is checked. Pricing is ridiculous!!”
