About
Great Southwest Plumbing serves homeowners throughout Fort Worth, Texas with a focus on residential plumbing work. The company handles the steady demand created by local conditions, including hard water that affects fixtures and older homes that often need main line attention. Crews respond to calls for leaks, water heater problems, and drain issues that come up regularly in the area. They operate with their own technicians on many jobs but also coordinate with other outfits when volume requires it. Fort Worth residents deal with these plumbing concerns year round because of the mix of new builds and aging properties scattered across the city.
The crew takes on specific tasks such as stopping leaks inside homes, replacing tankless water heaters in a single day, and clearing main lines with an auger when backups occur. Technician David has been noted for showing up prepared and handling repairs without unnecessary delays. In one case a homeowner faced a sudden leak and the arriving plumber wore protective booties to avoid tracking dirt across floors while keeping a clean uniform throughout the visit. Another job involved a full tankless heater swap that finished quickly after the owners had already spent time attempting the work themselves. Pricing comes up often, with some calls leading to quotes like 395 dollars for augering or over 600 for jetting, though customers sometimes compare those figures to rental options at local stores.
Customers consistently mention the speed of arrivals and the polite manner of the technicians who complete the work without extra visits. Quality shows in the way leaks get resolved on the first try and heaters get swapped efficiently. Price feedback varies, with some finding the charges reasonable for the results and others noting higher costs when subcontractors handle the job. Communication receives mixed notes because dispatchers have explained subcontracting arrangements after the fact rather than upfront. DIRT Score 2.77 from 12 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“The best. I found Gold Star West Plumbing and have been very pleased with their service and professionalism. My plumber David is knowledgeable, courteous, and did great work. I can't say enough about them and would highly recommend them for any plumbing problems you might have. The pricing was very reasonable too.”
“I called Houston Plumber out to my Home when we endured a plumbing leak. When the plumber arrived, the plumber who showed up at my door was not what you would expect in a plumber. Nice, clean uniform, well groomed, smiling face, and even wore these booties over his boots to protect our floors from getting dirty. I glanced outside the door and saw a beautiful, clean can that looked something like the Space Shuttle. I was super impressed. After evaluating our problem, he gave me a straight forward price, and when I had a question about it, showed me the price book and it was spot on. No question about hours, just the price. The last time I had a plumber in my house, he tracked mud on the floor, and left for 3 hours to get the part, and ruined my entire day. The Houston Plumber went right out to his truck, got the part, and in no time made the repair and was on his way. These guys are real pros. I own my own business, and take my hat off to the owner of Houston Plumber for having such high standards, and delivering such a first class service. I will use Houston Plumber for every plumbing need I have in my Home or business, and will tell all of my friends about them”
“Well worth every penny is Gold Star West Plumbing! They are really polite and quick. We spent a lot of time and effort replacing our tankless water heater, but it was finished in only one day.”
“Gold Star West never actually showed up. They sent YB Plumbing. When I called back, the dispatcher said, "Yes, we contract out.." They wanted $395 to run an auger, 600+ to jet, the mainline. I said I could rent the same machine for ~$80 at Home Debot and the tech shrugged and said, "...Yeah." I still had to pay the $49 call out fee. I won't be calling these people back.”
“Mark was wonderful. We had a leak and they were here within a couple of hours and fixed everything. They even found the valve in the toilet that went out and fixed it for us. We would highly recommend.”
