Lively Home Services Inc
HVAC Contractor · Sugar Land, TX
About
Lively Home Services Inc operates from Sugar Land, Texas and centers its work on HVAC systems for homes across the area. The company handles heating and air conditioning needs that come with the local climate, where hot summers push cooling units hard and occasional winter dips call for reliable heating. Service extends into the broader Houston region as well, focusing on repairs, installs, and upkeep that keep indoor temperatures steady without unnecessary downtime. Homeowners in Sugar Land often face strain on equipment from humidity and dust, making steady HVAC attention a practical requirement rather than an option.
Technicians at the company manage air conditioning repair and installation along with regular maintenance to catch issues before they grow. They also handle heating repair and installation, air quality improvements, and related tasks such as addressing weak airflow or uneven cooling in older homes. Work typically starts with a diagnostic visit followed by clear explanations of options, then same-day fixes when possible on common problems like compressor trouble or thermostat failures. In Sugar Land the team deals with slab leaks tied to plumbing overlaps and sewer cleaning requests that sometimes intersect with HVAC lines, keeping response times practical for urgent calls.
Customers note mixed results on communication, with some reporting long hold times and repeated disconnections when trying to schedule or check status, which pulls the overall score down despite solid work on actual repairs in other cases. Speed and quality receive average marks in the available feedback while price complaints appear less often. The low total of reviews leaves room for the rating to shift with more input. DIRT Score 3.51 from 32 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“My employer switched to lively this year for our HSA. Their investment is terrible. You can’t set up automatic investments so I have to go in and do it manually each month. You cannot buy partial shares of index funds and they continue to fumble my hsa rollover. I’m going to do everything I can to convince my employer to switch providers.”
“I’ve spent hours on the phone only to be disconnected repeatedly. Hold times are wildly inaccurate and long. Told 30 minutes, waited far longer, then got “30 seconds to connect” messages that went nowhere. Account access required creating and resetting passwords multiple times with no resolution. Paying is equally frustrating: ACH cannot be set up over the phone or on the website, which is completely archaic. Even companies like Public Storage allow ACH online, yet Lively requires a voided check and manual steps. A credit card payment over the phone took nearly 10 minutes to process. This service is marketed to seniors, which makes the delays, disconnections, and inefficiency especially unacceptable. Worst of all, we ported our family home phone number of over 60 years to Lively, and after multiple attempts, the number still has not been successfully ported due to Lively exclusively. Best Buy Health should be embarrassed to attach its name to this level of phone support.”
“Cancelled my mother's account(8/19/25) due to her passing, had a negative balance, refund check was never sent, spent 12 minutes on hold, another 10 minutes, (I have all the cell information)with total trivial things, then told they could only send the check to the deceased account address! Fortunately, I have forwarded her mail to my address. So after 3 months, and time spent on the phone, poor service.”
“Company can't send out a card that works to save there reputation. After multiple calls messages and chats I am still not able to use the funds they are holding hostage... There manager Stephanie promises resolution and call backs. As an employee this is frustrating! They want me to spend more money than the money I have already spent! How does that make sence”
“I am a venture capitalist and this company was chosen as an apparent outsource by my credit union (America First) for their HSA accounts -- and I now wish I had chosen another vendor once the switch was made mid-year 2024. The transition has been not been easy, featuring a website and app with confusing UI/UX -- and I just discovered they put old school 4 day holds on ACH money movements from my BofA linked account So repeated declines for its usage at doctors offices. Even more bizarre is the fact that I could not deposit a check at America First for my 2025 contribution (!). I will choose another vendor and move my HSA ASAP. I cannot recommend for HSA accounts.”
