About

S.T.A.R. Home Services handles HVAC work for homeowners across Waco, Texas and nearby towns. They focus on cooling system maintenance along with diagnostic calls to keep equipment running through hot summers. The outfit promotes a first time customer deal that drops a full service visit to twenty nine dollars instead of the usual one hundred twenty nine. That price covers a fifty two point inspection plus basic cleaning on the cooling side to confirm efficient operation. Their notes stress keeping systems comfortable without extra layers of service added on top.

Technicians step in on jobs after other outfits back out at the last minute, with Mario noted for running thorough intake style evaluations that cover system details while staying direct with customers. Iliana handled follow up points in some cases and kept interactions straightforward during the process. Reviews mention full checks on units where basic cleaning fixed efficiency issues, though some calls ran into delays when addresses got missed despite exact directions sent ahead. Other visits involved supply orders after initial assessments but left gaps in ongoing care for the equipment.

Customers note solid handling on quick response jobs and clear addressing of problems once crews arrive, with praise for efficiency in some cooling checks and friendly tech interactions during evaluations. Speed and communication show up as strong points in higher marks while quality and price draw mixed feedback across the set. The low overall rating reflects those inconsistent experiences on timing and follow through. DIRT Score 1.68 from 14 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I have been very pleased with my experience with Star Home Healthcare. They quickly stepped in to help me when a previous company backed out at the last minute. Mario, who did the intake evaluation, was both thorough and knowledgeable, all while being incredibly compassionate and friendly. Iliana, my physical therapist, is amazing. I feel like I'm in the best hands with her care as I recover. She is also thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate, and friendly. I feel like she is my biggest cheerleader and will help me get the results I need from physical therapy. I would highly recommend this group!

This Company is 🗑️ Trash!! The nurse was down the street when she called but then took 2 hours before I received a call from her manager claiming she couldn’t find my address. This call came wayyy after I had sent the nurse a text message with the exact address when she called to tell me where she was. Then I call today to reschedule after my insurance left me a message stating they had arranged for me to have physical, occupational & CNA to come to my home. I call to schedule and the intake person says someone put in the notes that I REFUSED SERVICE. What a joke! I’m so BLESSED to have missed this bullet of what would’ve been months of foolishness and lies from this company. CHOOSE better for yourself and CHOOSE those who truly LOVE helping those who need it when they can’t do for themselves.

Star Home health is one of the best home healthcare services I have ever used for my family members. Every nurse is so loving and caring and I truly appreciate the managers as they always address my issues directly and efficiently.

Memorial Hermann referred our HHC order to this company for home wound care. Insurance approved a number of visits. An RN came to do an intake visit, and did not provide any care during that visit. A box of supplies was ordered and shipped to our home. More than a week past the intake visit, no one has called to schedule any actual care visits. When I asked about this, I was told that a nurse was supposed to come today. Apparently, with no heads up to the patient?! A) I don't believe it when they say they scheduled a nurse for today, sounded like a CYA response to "why have no nurse visits been scheduled yet?" B) People with health issues serious enough to require home health care are likely to have issues serious enough that they are seen by one or more physicians on a regular basis, and may not be home for you to decide to "swing by" unannounced. We noticed on our ring doorbell that someone in scrubs had come to the door one afternoon last week when no one was home, but we don't know if it was a nurse from here or just some random person in scrubs, as no one had called to schedule any visits, we were not expecting anyone. So far, not impressed.

I had a stroke and nursing has come out. It took a little over a week to get insurance approved. My nurse , Johanna, has been wonderful. Knowledgeable, Communication, professionalism, and friendliness all get a 5 star rating.
