About

Tracy Ac & Heating Llc works out of Sugar Land, Texas, and takes care of HVAC systems for houses and businesses across the Houston area. They keep up with the big changes coming to the trade, such as the EPA rules that phase out R410A refrigerant after January 2025 and push new options like R-454B for full home setups and R-32 for mini-splits. Local homeowners face long, brutal summers that beat up older units fast, and this outfit stays ready to handle repairs or full replacements on systems that are twelve to twenty years old. They stress matching parts for efficiency and avoiding any mix that could lead to leaks or higher costs later.

The crew handles service calls on AC units that stop cooling, low freon problems, and coil issues that technicians catch during checks. Tracy shows up right on time, runs the diagnostics, explains what is wrong, and finishes the fix the same day in many cases. One job involved an AC that quit on a Sunday night with a quick text back to book the next morning and a repair that held up without extra charges. Another visit had a tech go over the problems in plain terms, leave the area spotless, and keep the price straight so the owner did not feel overcharged. They also work on commercial units when needed and stick to the existing refrigerant until a full change makes sense.

Customers keep coming back because the response time stays fast, the work holds up through the heat, and the bills stay reasonable without surprises. Reviews point to clear explanations on the spot, clean job sites, and repairs that solve the cooling loss without pushing unnecessary parts. Even when older systems need attention, the crew communicates the options up front so owners know what to expect on price and timing. That steady record of quality fixes and honest dealings adds up across the board. DIRT Score 5.0 from 155 reviews on Finds.

Tracy provided exceptional service today. He arrived exactly on schedule and got straight to work diagnosing and fixing my AC. The pricing was incredibly fair, and I especially appreciated how clean he left the workspace after the job. Highly recommended!

My A/C went put on Sunday. I filled out the online contact form Sunday night expecting to hopefully get a call the next day or I would follow up. I received a text immediately with a follow up of scheduling me the next day. The repair was completed to my satisfaction and affordable. The Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to use Tracy AC & Heating in the future.

Do not use! Follow-up from my previous review. I contacted this company two months ago because my AC stopped cooling and gave 5 stars liked they asked me to. I was told about two years ago from One-Hour AC service my freon was low and my coil was going bad, because of the price I opted to just get freon. Tracy arrived looked at unit outside and in my attic. He told me I needed freon, I asked him about my coil and he said it was fine. At this point I didn't know if One-hour had lied. He told me he would put in the freon, a sealant, and charge me $500.00 if I used him when it came time to replace my parts. I told him ok transaction complete. June 19th AC stopped cooling keeping my word I called this company again. This time Tracy went straight to outside unit and told me some parts needed replacing I asked how much and he said $1,400.00. I told him I didn't have that he said ok let me see what I can do. He stayed for about two hours came in the house and told me he was done. I asked him how much and he said $1,400.00, I asked for what!? He said for freon that he charged 100.00 lbs and to replace a blue ball looking thing he showed me outside, which is a liquid line dryer. He never got my consent for this when I told him this he asked but what were you going to do? I asked about the coil AGAIN, he said my coil was fine and my issue was fixed. I paid him because I was afraid I could be sued and he assured me the issue was fixed. Four days later my AC stopped cooling I called Tracy AC and Heating back out. This time Tracy went to the side of the house looked at unit outside and then came to front door with a yellow bucket with some probs that started beeping. He told me the beeping was letting him know the leak was in the attic, later tells me I need to replace my coil. The part was extremely hard to find and so forth. I asked him for the coil description. I work in procurement two calls later I have found the part. Meantime I talked to Kellie who tried to tell me Tracy looked at the coil the second time when she wasn't even here. She told me they charge $85.00 for freon, I told her Tracy said $100.00, she said well if Tracy said $100. then its $100.00. (Get your act together people) I told her I found the coil gave her the information where I found it. Needless to say she said the brand of that coil was bad and they would not install it. (Of course not) She was able to locate the coil sent the $2,625.00 quote explaining they are no that type of company and would not charge me the freon when they install the new coil. I had another tech to come out and he said with his blue light he didn't see any sealant. I will be getting the coil replaced but definitely not using this company!! I'm sure this company will have a rebuttal, but this is my follow-up review!!!!

I have never been disappointed with their service. Tracy is professional, timely, and honest. He is patient and answers all of my questions.
