“I and my husband have been seeing the Doctor as our physician for our annual wellness for almost 5 years. A recent experience really throw us off and we may now be looking for a new family physician. Of what use is having a primary physician and they could not provide a short doctor's note confirming your wellness to work. I had my annual physicals just few months ago and I recently requested for a doctor's note about my wellness. It has been over four days with several calls and the office refused to provide the note, instead they asked what I needed it for, and said it requires filling out a document and they don't want to do that. I was surprised as I NEVER asked them to fill out any form, I requested a wellness note from my private physician that I have seen for almost 5 years, kids get such notes every time they are sick and need to go back to school. In my case I have never been sick and my annual exam looks good. In my opinion, this experience shows that some health care practice no longer serves the patient's interest any more. If I cannot obtain a wellness note from my physician with record showing I am in good shape, then what purpose does seeing the physician serves, they really dropped the ball and we will be looking for another physician.”
