About

Tom's Quality Comfort Air & Heat Llc runs as a family-owned HVAC company based in the Houston area with a focus on Tomball and nearby spots since 2004. They draw on over 120 years of combined experience to handle air conditioning and heating jobs for homes and businesses alike. The outfit works as an Amana Authorized Dealer and keeps a crew of background-checked technicians ready for the demands of Texas weather and the frequent breakdowns that come with heavy use. Homeowners in the region count on them for straightforward solutions without unnecessary upsells.

They perform full AC installations along with maintenance visits that extend equipment life well past normal limits as seen when Tom handled checks for repeat customers whose parents systems lasted decades. Repairs often target specific failures like blower motors and wheels on aging units which technician Eric completed on one old system saving the full replacement cost quoted elsewhere. Mark leads install crews that set up both residential and commercial setups including Daikin mini-splits and heating services while same-day calls before 2 PM CST cover air filtration and leak fixes across brands.

Homeowners consistently highlight the speed of response on urgent breakdowns the quality of parts and workmanship that prevents repeat issues and the fair pricing that favors targeted repairs over complete swaps. Communication stays clear from the first call through completion with techs like Eric and Mark earning trust for professional results on both new installs and old equipment service. This record of reliable outcomes across fifty reviews builds steady local business. DIRT Score 5.0 from 50 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

My family has trusted Tom’s AC services for decades—I grew up watching him take care of my parents’ units. Thanks to his regular maintenance, their systems lasted well beyond their expected lifespan. We’ve always had wonderful experiences with him. Most recently, Tom came to my new home to check out a noise I was hearing. He thoroughly walked me through the entire system, explained what was causing the sound, and gave me helpful tips on proper care and maintenance. He also performed a full cleaning while he was here. His pricing is always fair, and his assessments are honest and straightforward. Several of my family members continue to use him, and we’re confident recommending Tom to friends and clients.

For years after Tom's installed our HVACs they had issues. Refilling freon every 3 months, pressure issues, leaks, etc. After more than a year of attempting to ascertain the derivation of the issues, we were advised to rip out the sheetrock from floor to ceiling (where the HVAC lines were located) in the hopes of figuring out a reason for the issues. What was found: 1. Our 5 ton mandated by manufacturer's instructions a 1-1/8" copper supply line. Tom's installed 1-1/8" from the condenser to just inside the outside wall of the house. Once inside the bottom of the wall - Tom's cut the 1-1/8" and crimped 7/8" copper from there up the wall for more than 16' into the attic - to a location just before it came through the floor to the unit in the attic. At that location, Tom's cut the copper again - and installed 1-1/8" to the attic units. So - 1-1/8" to just inside the wall, then 7/8" up the wall to the attic, then 1-1/8" from just inside the attic floor to the units. Had we not cut out a 2' wide x 10' high wall of sheetrock of our laundry room wall - we never would have known and would have continued to experience issues that were costing us thousands of dollars. The copper entry lines into both condensers were not only crimped to go from 7/8" in the wall to the proper 1-1/8" at the outside condensers, but the copper lines at the condensers were crimped together with trash pieces, i.e., 5-6 separate copper pieces less than 4-5" each were patched / crimped together. All of the above not only against manufacturer's instructions, but also against code with some of their deceit hidden inside walls. 2. The coils that Tom's installed for our home were KNOWINGLY recalled for coil leak issues. He installed them anyway. We ended up paying thousands to replace them less than 2 years after moving in. 3. Tom's piggybacked the electrical supply to the 4 ton condenser via the 5 ton condenser. 4. Tom's did not use protective grommets for the wiring - so you can see from the photos what occurred after mere months. Once we replaced the entire crimped/patched run of copper - uninterrupted from the outside condensers to the attic, installed a separate electrical supply for the 4 ton unit, installed grommets as well as replaced the coils - all issues ceased. Tens of thousands of dollars to fix/replace Tom's faulty work after paying Tom's almost $30,000. Pay to have an independent inspector (not a City inspector) check all of Tom's work. Better yet - don't use him.

I’ve used Tom’s for residential and commercial, and Mark and the installers are fantastic. Their units have held up great over the years, and they really are expert professionals.

I want to thank Tom's Quality Comfort Air & Heat and technician Eric for the wonderful job they did for us. Our AC unit is old and it went out completely. It was the Blower Motor and Wheel. Our first estimate was from a reputable company and the technician said the entire unit would have to be replaced because it was impossible to remove and replace the Blower Motor and Wheel because a load bearing beam prevented him from removing the parts that needed to be replaced. His estimate was several thousand dollars. Two friends had used Tom's and highly recommended we have them give us an estimate. The technician Eric came out 3 hours after our call and spent an hour in the attic and was able to figure out a way to remove the Blower Motor and Wheel and put in a new Blower Motor and Wheel and the AC was fixed and is cooling for less than one thousand dollars! It was well over 100 degrees in the attic and Eric was soaked with sweat and had to be exhausted but he got the job done and saved us thousands of dollars! Great job. I will highly recommend you guys. Thank you Tom's Quality Comfort Air and Heat and Tech Eric. Robby Patterson
