What Customers Say

It's like Tractor Supply, Cavenders and a gun store had a kid. The people there in the Killeen location are amazing. Corporate could definitely listen to employees though. Rarely do they have new products behind the gun counter but they end up taking my money anyway, lol. Overall, very nice place to shop.

I have been coming to this place since they opened. Ashlyn, Katelyn, Vicky, David, and all the employees are very knowledgeable and are ready to assist in finding what you need. I love the stores hardware section. The assortment of nuts bolts fastners that are hard to find in other stores.

I really want to enjoy shopping at Murdoch’s, but my recent visits have been disappointing. The dressing room has proven to be hard to utilize as regardless of ringing the bell numerous times, there is no response. Tracking down an employee is a must. On my most recent visit, I went to use the restroom (“Outhouse”). There was cleaning equipment near (not impeding) the door but no “closed” sign, so I assumed it was still open. After entering, I was loudly and rudely told the bathroom was closed. I apologized, but the interaction felt unnecessary and not very customer-friendly. If the restroom is closed, a clear sign on the door would prevent confusion. I hope these issues can be improved, as I’d like to have a better experience shopping here.

We love this place! I get stuck in the kids clothing section mostly. They are so cute. My husband always walks out of there spending about $500, but all of us usually have a few outfits, shoes, dog toys, and snacks. We always find deals on Columbia items in the clearance section as well. I think the cost of everything is a little pricey, but it is also great quality stuff that isn't going to have to be replaced for a while.

I have a 40% off coupon for clothing and footwear that expires on the 31st, but almost everything keeps getting marked down with smaller sale discounts instead. Since the coupon can’t be combined with discounted items, it basically makes the 40% coupon useless. It feels misleading to advertise a high-value coupon when customers can’t realistically use it. Murdoch’s knew a lot of people received the 40% code from the Killeen Rodeo and would come in expecting to use it, so it’s disappointing to see so many items excluded this way.
