About

Kwf Appliance works out of Port Lavaca, Texas, handling HVAC jobs for both homes and businesses in the area. They have provided air conditioning and heating services since 1983 along with refrigeration work that covers ice machines and commercial coolers. The crew takes on every brand of residential and commercial equipment, from system checks and repairs to new installs on conventional units, heat pumps, mini-splits, and whole-house filtration. Local homeowners face heavy humidity and salt air that wears down equipment fast, so the shop keeps a focus on dehumidifiers, UV lighting, and steady maintenance that prevents breakdowns during the hottest months.

Customers call when a refrigerator quits on them or when a washer and dryer need replacing, and the shop sends Alan or Becky to sort it out without pushing extra costs. One family had an old unit acting up and got straight answers plus a fair fix that lasted. Another customer picked up a new washer and dryer on layaway and noted how quick and friendly the whole process stayed from start to finish. Reviews mention the same pair handling appliance issues for decades with honest pricing and no runaround, whether the job is a simple repair or a full commercial cooler setup. They finish most calls the same day and keep the language plain so owners know exactly what broke and what it takes to get it running again.

Folks keep coming back because the work holds up, the crew shows up when promised, and the bills stay reasonable without surprises. High marks on quality mean systems run right the first time, while top scores on speed and communication show clear updates and quick arrivals even on weekends. Fair pricing earns the strongest praise, with no hidden fees for after-hours residential calls. DIRT Score 4.58 from 41 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

My parents have been doing business with Alan and Becky for decades. They feel like Alan and Becky have always been honest, fair and helpful with any appliance issue they have had. Last year my parents had a problem with a refrigerator so I helped my dad research it and called Alan to see if he could repair it. Alan asked me to describe the problem asking me for more details as I went along and telling me to do this or that and tell him what would happen. He diagnosed the problem, told us what part to get and told us we could do that particular repair ourselves. Nowadays that isn't usually the case since appliances are so high tech and complicated. He told us what needed to be done and told us we could call him if we still needed help. We did as instructed and were able to fix the problem. It was a very good investment of time and goodwill on Alan's part because it reinforced what an honest businessman he is. So this year my parents went to him again. This year was to buy a new washer, dryer and refrigerator (they had planned to replace the fridge we fixed but just could not do it at that time). Becky gave us quotes and I went and researched and found her quotes to be quite competitive to other places. My parents had some other unexpected urgent repairs come up so they had to hold off on their purchase of these appliances for several months. I know my parents really need the washer and dryer (they have been without a working set for over a year now and have had to take their laundry to the laundromat during all that time). So this week I went to Becky and told her I needed to buy the appliances for them. She was so gracious and helpful and understanding of our putting the purchases on hold for so long. She reviewed the products with me and I told her I was concerned that the washer my mom picked out had a heavy metal lid that I was concerned might hurt my mom if the lid fell unexpectedly on her. So Becky showed me a sister model with a soft-close lid that has all the other features that my mom wanted. This fit all of our needs perfectly. Becky was able to schedule the washer and dryer installs for the very next day. My parents were THRILLED and very grateful. By the way, the 2 installer guys were very professional and courteous and were so kind and helpful. One guy gave us a quick tutorial on the control knobs. The other guy showed my dad that the water valves in the wall leaked even when he shut them off to take out the old machine. He said we needed to get a plumber to fix them (my Dad did that the same day, thanks to the guy pointing this out). And Becky had told me that if my parents have any questions or need help with the new washer & dryer to call her and she will either talk them through things or come over to show them how. I asked Becky for an upgrade of the refrigerator to a version in stainless steel finger print resistant finish. Dad wants the stainless steel look but I want a version that requires less maintenance on their part to keep it clean. It is a special order but, even so, Becky will get it delivered to us next week. Alan and Becky and their team have shown once again why my parents have appreciated doing business with American Appliance for decades and will continue to do so. Thank you Alan and Becky!!!
