About

Capital Mechanical Llc works out of Waco, Texas on HVAC systems for local homes. The company takes calls for heating and cooling repairs in a city where summer heat pushes units hard and winter cold snaps can strain older equipment. Research notes came back empty due to an access issue, so details stay limited to their trade focus and location. Homeowners here face frequent filter changes, duct problems from dust, and the need for reliable service when temperatures swing fast. That sets the stage for the kind of mechanical work this outfit handles on a regular basis.

They handle service calls that include water heater checks, sump pump fixes after heavy rain, and full system inspections under annual agreements. One customer described Logan sorting a water heater issue quickly while explaining safety features on site. Another noted Zack running through every component during the fourth visit and fixing a sump pump problem without extra charges. Wayne, the service manager, took an emergency call about a septic tank and nonstop sump pump after five days of rain and arranged immediate help. These jobs show how the crew moves from one mechanical breakdown to the next without dragging things out.

Customers give strong marks for response speed at nine out of ten and solid work quality at seven out of ten, with repeated comments on technicians who arrive fast, check everything thoroughly, and solve problems on the spot. Reviews highlight the same care across multiple visits and emergency situations where clear communication from the office kept things moving. That pattern of reliable fixes and quick arrivals builds the overall rating. DIRT Score 4.37 from 86 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I scheduled a water tank flush and inspection with this company, and the experience left me feeling completely unsafe in my own home. This was a 1st for me so I didn’t know what to expect. The technician did not introduce himself, explain what the inspection would involve, or let me know which areas of my home he needed to access. He entered private areas, including my bedroom and bathrooms while my children were sleeping, without asking or even informing me he needed to go upstairs. The report I received afterward makes no mention of bathroom inspections, so I have no idea why he needed to be in those spaces or what he was actually doing up there. At no point did he explain that a water test would be done, that I would receive a report afterward, or what the work order entailed. I only found out later that a test had been done and a report was emailed. The water test results are completely useless- just numbers with no explanation of what they mean, no normal ranges, no context. I now have to research what these numbers mean myself. What is the point of sending a “report” that says nothing? On top of that, he forged my signature on the work order, serious breach of protocol. Before booking, check the Yelp reviews. It paints a far more accurate picture of this company than the Google reviews. I cannot recommend this company and strongly caution others, particularly women to avoid hiring this company.

Logan was an exceptional plumber, he handled my issue quick and efficiently, he was also very friendly. He also helped me understand the safety features on my water heater. I would recommend Logan for any plumbing job needed!

I have an annual agreement with Capital Mechanical (who installed the plumbing in my home), and Zack has been our technician for this, now our 4th visit. I am always impressed by the care he takes to check all the systems, and today he helped me solve (at no additional cost) an issue with my sump pump discharge resulting from work done by our patio installer. I enjoy the peace of mind knowing my water heater is flushed properly each year and that my systems are operating properly.

We experienced an emergency this week that needed immediate attention. We had a sump pump running continuously for 5 days after a rain. Our septic tank was also overflowing and shutting down each day. I called Capital Mechanical and spoke with Wayne, their Service Manager. I described the problem and he asked some smart questions to identify what might be happening. He explained what he thought might be causing both systems to react in this manner. He ordered a dual sump pump with a backup unit and dispatched a tech the same day. Tech arrived at 4:00 p.m. and verified the problem. Installed the new system by 7:00 p.m. and verified a leak in the septic crock that was taking in ground water from the defective sump. Same day resolution from a couple of professional, nice guys! Really pleased with this outfit.

When the technician looked at the water heater leak, we discussed repair vs replacement. I specifically asked for a quote to repair 2 values on the water heater, but instead got a quote to replace the water heater which is not what I asked for. The technician also looked at the low cold water pressure coming out of the kitchen faucet. With a little trial and error in about 15-20 minutes, he was able to increase the water pressure by cleaning out the water saver value and the faucet filter. All of that was great, except for the cost - $288. I know it costs $100 to just walk in the door, which was to go towards any repairs if work is performed, but still...that amount seems a little much to me.
