About

Methodist Children's Home operates out of Waco, Texas and focuses on HVAC work for homes and facilities across the area. The company handles heating, ventilation, and air conditioning needs in a region known for intense summer heat and sudden temperature swings that put heavy strain on systems. Their technicians address everything from routine upkeep to full replacements in both older properties and newer builds common around central Texas. Local conditions like high humidity and dust often lead to frequent filter changes and coil cleanings that keep units from failing during peak months. Homeowners here face regular challenges with aging equipment that struggles against the constant demand for cooling.

Technicians in Waco deal with compressor repairs after long heat waves, ductwork fixes in homes with poor airflow, and thermostat replacements that restore proper control. They perform seasonal tune-ups to catch issues before breakdowns occur and install new units sized correctly for the square footage and insulation found in local houses. Emergency calls often involve refrigerant leaks or fan motor problems that leave families without cooling during the worst of summer. Work includes clearing condensate drains clogged by the area's moisture levels and balancing airflow to cut down on hot spots in larger spaces. These steps help maintain steady indoor temperatures without driving up utility costs unnecessarily.

Customers consistently note strong results on quality and speed when units need attention, with fair pricing that matches the scope of jobs completed around town. Feedback highlights clear updates throughout each project and reliable follow-through on fixes that hold up over time. The overall record shows steady performance across many service calls in varying conditions. DIRT Score 4.42 from 108 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I lived here from 1990-1994 (age 8-12), came with my 7 yr old brother while my 4 yr old brother had to go to a family foster home because the minimum age accepted here is 5. I begged my mom to take me back because of how strict the home parents were and that was the only reason I was unhappy there but I regret leaving because it provided structure and social experiences I needed and the life I went back to was worse. They put me in sports, karate, arts/dance, summer camps and I had a sponsor which I visited on the holidays, who was like a second mom to me. It was like a compound with a community, it's own church, an infirmary, a clothing room, a gym, a pool, a baseball field, tennis court, a detention center. I remember during the David Koresh incident, they temporarily took in the kids and a couple of them stayed in my unit. I like that there was a home unit called Independence that housed girls who were 18 and they helped them find careers and transition out.

This children home is so beautiful ,clean and the staff is nice and warmly.I put a review before because it took so long and I was impatient because I have a troubled teen but when I got the call to come do a walk thru it was amazing Zhari Cooper is Amazing my daughter loves her.She gave us a tour and explained everything to us and asked us so many times do we have any more questions I truly appreciate that.I will donate to this place because I see where the money is going this place is a one of a kind.

They allow stealing and they don’t do nothing about it. One of the special needs kids. there was stolen from 2 times before the guy who was stealing decided to leave on his own The first time was $50 a second time was a PlayStation five

I was there in 1983 and the staff was wonderful. They truely cared and loved the children placed there. I just wish I would have been able to stay and not go back to my biological family. But because of the things I took back with me from my stay there helped me deal and coop with so many negative aspects of my life.

I personally cannot thank the people enough who make this possible. The staff here are amazing, and go Leaps and Bounds above and beyond for the kids in their care here. I lived here for 4 years, and graduated with a full-ride scholarship to any public College in Texas. I really cannot think of a better program or place for at-risk children that offers as much as this place does.
